MCH was overworked, stressed, not eating right, not getting enough sleep, then she gets wet, sitting outside, the dampness can cause chills, maybe the weather is cool, with her immune system is down, the chance of getting sick is very high. Lately, the drama hasn't shown him at work in any kind challenging way so we're not seeing his more serious work personality anymore, and focus is more on his personal life, we're seeing another side of his personality. He's still the same person. He's not one-dimensional character. He has both a stern side and soft side to him, depending on the people and circumstances. The character development has to do with his change in his attitude and outlook on life. He told He Dong that costs and benefits only for business not his relationships with people he care about. For sure, he smiles more and is happier overall because he has found a family.

I could see dementia as another family issue in this drama, but the mother is not that old.

YZM told her the food she eats can cause cancer, but I doubt they would kill her character off.

I've seen this kind of funny scene in other movies. This drama also has humor.
