It can also be argued that it was too long. It seemed like there was a lot of filler.
Yeah, this series was interesting. I think it was actually too long AND too short. Too long because they easily could've done the same story in a feature film-length. But also too short in that they could've done a lot more with fleshing out all the characters and their relationships, if they put a bit more effort into everyone rather than focus solely on Doona and Wonjun's back and forth.
in twitter , people are posting from novel about how boston liked top in the first place , but top din't reciprocated…
Wasn't that heavily implied in the show though? That they not only hooked up in the past, but of all the guys Boston hooked up with, Top was the only he ever cared enough about to potentially want more. Hence that first scene of them in the bathroom.
He was so good on Only Friends. Definitely proved he can be the lead. I've only ever seen him in lighter, younger-type roles. And seeing him play a mature character in OF and do so well, I am excited to see what he does next!
The idol stuff was actually kind of unnecessary. They could do exactly the same kind of melodrama without the idol/celebrity stuff with Doona. In the end it felt contrived and, really, convenient as an easy way to facilitate the relationship drama.
Thinking about checking this one out. I know there's the recommendations section above. But for anyone who's watched it already, what shows can it be compared to in terms of overall vibe. Like, what kinds of feels would you get watching this drama and what other shows might it remind you of.
Positive news today. Ji Soo gave an interview to Chosun Ilbo and says that he and the initial accuser have met and made peace with whatever they needed to discuss. They are now on good terms, in frequent contact with each other and hope to support each other moving forward.
The article also points to the other accusations which were false and already retracted. Ji Soo says that now that he has completed his military service, he is able to directly address those false accusations. Which is something that he was not able to do when the initial accusations became headlines and he had to leave his drama and quickly enlist as he had already received his draft papers.
How’s the bromance in this? In the mood for something homoerotic
Well, they do have a very intense workout sequence in Episode 7 where they're both shirtless and sweaty and absolutely hot. But they're actually very wholesome bros throughout the series which is cute and actually refreshing hehe
why did Sae Ron just disappear in the middle of the show?
It was during filming that she was charged with a DUI. They were almost finished, but she of course had to leave the show/was removed. And they edited her screentime to only include scenes that were absolutely necessary for the story.
I stumbled upon him while watching the Asian Games and OMG I was shocked to see that he is an actor also! He is absolutely gorgeous! Can't wait to see him in more projects and of course in the pool too as a national swimmer!
we need to write another ending for yeon jun! definitely!
I'd love to watch even just a special or something showing things from his POV, in a sense. Like his story before what happened in this series and then after everything changed. Maybe technically from the POV of his family.
A nice series. It works in spite of the convoluted story because of its strong cast and solid characters. They get you invested enough in the story that no matter what crazy stuff happens, you still care about them. At least for me.
This was just a lot of fun!! They really captured the magic of what people loved about the first series and infused…
Absolutely agree about what the best parts of season 1 were. Most especially the brothers' dynamic. I was so happy to see season 2 focusing more on Yeon and Rang. And the new stories they focused on also were able to stand on their own.
I know we all know who's paired up with who, but I'm looking forward to seeing the cross-pollination (why is that the first word that comes to mind lol) scenes. Like, for example, I loved that Boston-Top scene in the bathroom. The sexual tension was so hot. And I remember the hot kiss from the pilot trailer. The mixing up of the pairings and all the messy drama that will come with it is going to be a lot of fun.
The first episode was definitely fun. I'm looking forward to all the sexy messiness to come! lol I'm most excited for Boston and Nick's story, mainly because I'm excited to see how Neo and Mark deliver.
