Is this a copy of the 2012? Seems to be an exact copy from the first few scenes. Which doesn’t necessarily make…
I just watched it and a lot, if not most of the scenes are adapted from the original. They tighten up the middle part and sprinkle more Filipino aspects throughout of course. I think a lot of the movie is also a bit lighter and less melodramatic. They infuse a lot more humor into it. And the ending ...
It is sad that this is one of more charming kdramas these days... I just watched an older kdrama High Kick 3 and…
I agree, they are chasing Western/global audience but not realizing that K-dramas as they were is what appealed to an international audience. Not Hollywood concepts with Korean actors.
I'm about to start this, precisely because I've been told it's the better version of Something in the Rain (which…
I did drop it, but it's really because it felt too similar to Something in the Rain after the first few episodes and I was attempting to watch them back-to-back which was a mistake for me. Since you haven't watched Something in the Rain, yet, your experience will likely be completely different, so I'd definitely recommend watching One Spring Night now since you're about to start it.
This is literally the only ever K-drama that I dropped after a few episodes. It was back during my COVID era binge watches. I love Jung Hae In so much, but I made the mistake of starting to watch this after Something in the Rain and I was like, omg I can't do this right now. lol Since then, I haven't touched it, but perhaps one of these days I will.
I know nothing about the novel, but this was definitely an intriguing first episode and Dylan and Jayda are really good.
About the camera work, I assume people are referring to that scene in the apartment. I think that was a stylistic choice evoking the awkwardness and tension between Loki and Lori in that moment.
Definitely the best season of the five. All the singles were great characters. Honest and sincere. Were not afraid to explore their curiosity and attractions. Perfect mix of Korean drama aura with the reality dating show format. Even with a predictable final 2 episodes, the season was the most fun and enjoyable to watch.
