Another day, another Ratings High for My destiny π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³ππππ.β‘οΈ YoukuBroke 8500 heat…
Very impressive!! πππ Like Go Ahead, My Destiny will have a long life on CCTV and satellite rebroadcasts. The audience have transferred their love for Li JianJian onto Fang Wan Zhi. ππ So happy for TSY and the drama team. More viewers can see what an amazing actress she is! Keep going! πͺπͺπͺ
I was falling behind cause I had to take a break after episode 8. With Ji Juan and commander Zhou, it was too…
That was my favorite part!! Her deliver was hilarious!! I don't know how many times I watched that scene. π€£π€£
Those episodes were pretty good . I did enjoy them more cause the plot started to move quickly like the first few episodes. The landlady, bratty sister, and boss Jia gave me a vibe reminiscent of old Hong Kong. The production team really put in a lot of efforts. Everything was well detailed, even down to the accents. πππ
https://x.com/tansongyun26/status/2032609876619440184?s=20I wonder which agencies or actor agencies are behind…
It's become the norm for TSY'S antis. It was the same thing when Road Home was airing. It dropped in ratings for a few days and the haters say the drama was a flop, tsy can't carry a drama...and we all know what the end results was. Road Home won the annual champion!! ππ So, the more they step on her, the stronger her achievements get.
To be honest, I was worried and stressed when the ratings dipped for 2 consecutive days. Gave me heart palpitations when I check yuyun/CVB. It was reassuring when the ratings rebounded strongly. The competitions are really fierce. My Destiny is going against CCTV1's drama (another period drama) the women's basketball tournament, CCTV6 movie channels, and world news. For My Destiny to achieve this high ratings is truly amazing. Hopefully this strong momentum can lead to a best actress Magnolia nomination for her. ππ€
8000 heat index yay :)https://x.com/forsongyun/status/2030679473922937271
That's awesome! CVB for the first day did well too. It surpassed 2! Second day, not much changes. Let's see how the third day fares..being its the weekday, and ratings tend to dip. Let's pray it can stabilize and not dip too much π€π€
#Mydestiny γζηε±±δΈζ΅· / ζηε±±θζ΅·γ starring Tan Songyun, will begin streaming in Taiwan on March…
That's where Changxin Group is making their money. Broadcasting rights. According to their financial reports, their drama/film division generated revenue of 292.5 million yuan in 2024 to 488.1 million yuan in 2025. This is all due to 2 dramas. Tang Dynasty 3 and My Destiny.
Through the sale of broadcasting rights, it had already generated a significant amount of revenue. Congrats to My Destiny for achieving this, before the drama is even aired. My Destiny and Tan Song Yun is awesome!!! πππ
Is the child actress playing younger FWZ the same actress from GA playing young LJJ?? I love that lil actress,…
Actress from Go Ahead is Cong Shang. The little actress playing young FWZ is Li Zhimo. If you recall, she recently starred in Unclouded Soul as Jin Ge. I agree, this actress and the Go Ahead actress is perfect for TSY. They all have round faces! π
That year, along with Road Home , Flight to you also did well too. That was a good year for TSY and IQiyi. She attended Scream night and won people's favorite award. That year, IQiyi dominated with many successful dramas. It's not so much now. They've been losing money, and now their data are mostly inflated. Doesn't respect production companies hard work when you pick and choose who u want to promote. Oh well, cross my fingers that the next drama is not IQiyi.
If she can't fit in 2 dramas this year, she can try to do one long drama and a drama with about 12-16 episodes. I'm really starting to lose patient with Cdrama's long drawn out episodes. I rather see a compacted plot driven drama, then a bunch of episodes with unnecessary side characters.
It's a wrap for The Unclouded Soul! Popular broadcasting period on Yunhe ended on 2/16, with a final number of 1821. It maintained it's S+ rating from start to finish. The unclouded soul was like a poor unfortunate child, abandoned by its parents, given no money for support/promotions, and its life was cut short in 11 days. Given these circumstances, TUS remained resilient, and with amazing support from fans, it managed to finish strongly. Congratulations on your finish!!πππ
*** On 2/18 Datawin, TUS was on the list at #5. Wow! After ending on 1/08, it's still on the Datawin list.
For it's crappy treatment of TUS, in 2026, I'm wishing for IQIYI to go bankrupt. If not, TSY should stay clear of this platform. For the Lunar New Year, I'm wishing for a successful airing of her 2 upcoming dramas, and may she filmed 2 dramas this year.(all top notch scripts and productions) Her inventory is running low, and with 2 Variety show episodes still yet to air, there's really not much left. So please, TSY, you rested long enough. ππ
Why is seven never seen on weibo nights I wonder donβt they invite her because she is not a traffic actress.…
I've seen her plenty of times on Weibo nights. She was last there in 2024. It's not a matter of not getting invited, it's because she didnt have any dramas aired in 2025. All the attendees this year had dramas that generated buzz last year.
Let's keep the updates mostly on TSY and her dramas. This is the latest updates for TUS.
*1.1 billion views on Maoyan *800 million views on Lighthouse with 20 million views per episodes. *Yunhe stands at 1660 * V30 ends on February 4th (TUS have to reach a certain yunhe number in order to retain their S+ rating *edit: current # is 1647 *Popular period ends on February 16th (The final tally)
For a drama with 0 promotions and an accelerated 11 days airing, these are pretty good results. Just overlook the ratings/numbers/data and enjoy the drama, I know I am. I'm on my second watch and I find it more enjoyable this time around.Β I noticed some cameos that Chinese fans had pointed out. There's TSY'S father in a small role. The toss game swindler was a flower society member from "Brocade Odyssey ".Β The little boy with the chipmunk was little Zi Qiu from "Go Ahead" .Β Ning An's sword instructor was Jin Xia's blind date in "Under the Power".Β Overall, I did enjoy watching TSY'S portrayal of Xiao Yao. Her costumes and makeup were very beautiful, probably the best out of all her historical dramas. Her acting is amazing! No complains there. Her micro expressions are top notch!Β I need to know how she got her eyebrows to move up and down like that! ππ
Synopsis of "My Destiny": This is the story of Fang Wanzhi, spanning from her birth to her 60s.
A touching story of "leaving, striving, and returning" from the 1970s. Fang Wanzhi was born into a poor family in the mountainous region of Southwest China.Β Life was difficult, and old customs still prevailed. She was sold off at a young age, but fortunately, she met wealthier adoptive parents who raised her well. However, her life didn't end there; she found herself caught between the boundaries of responsibility [on one side, her biological family who didn't raise her β on the other, her adoptive family who nurtured and educated her!]. Family conflicts and unforeseen events ensued.
She had to abandon her studies and head to Shenzhen, beginning her journey of self-reliance! She hoped to use her own strength to fulfill her responsibilities and return to contribute to the development of her hometown!
Starting as an assembly line worker, Fang Wanzhi and her two close friends, Li Juan (played by Dong Qing) and Hao Qianqian (played by Xi Wang), worked hard together to establish their own toy brand. After experiencing the ups and downs of the business world, she finally returned to her mountainous hometown with love and a sense of responsibility after achieving success.
Early working days: Facing difficulties in the electronics factory, having her street stall confiscated by the policeβ¦ she endured all the hardships of a manual laborer.Β
Challenges of starting a business: Starting a small workshop with her sisters, she faces deception from customers, financial collapse, and even betrayal from a business partner.
The storms of the times: The story is intertwined with real historical events such as the 1997 Asian financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, causing the characters' fates to fluctuate with the times.
The struggles of women: Being asked "How to balance family and career?" during business negotiations, or being questioned about marital status when seeking funding... these are the difficulties that modern professional women face, vividly portrayed in the film.
Emotional support: In the face of adversity, the silent support and friendship of technician Cao Xiang (played by Gao Zhiting) is her warmest haven.
With only 30 episodes, the plot sounds very compelling with no room for water down episodes. Rumored to air in March on Youku and CCTV1.
I also saw this in X. btw who is Mr ding and Mr Xu? I'm curious if the two names were the actors I know. Also…
Mr. Ding is Ding Zi Guang the director of Go Ahead and Mr. Xu is Xu Jizhou, the director of TUS. Time to reconcile with εη, refers to Huace, a highly respected production company. All of Ding Zi Guang's dramas are from Huace including his upcoming one that this melon refers to. And Xu JiZhou's next drama Raging Torrent is also Huace where TSY was rumored as a cameo role.
A excerpt from Her Style magazine, on Tan Songyun's thoughts about the drama "Against the Current" _____________
This drama seems like a revenge story, but it's actually a historical drama about family life, told from a woman's perspective, depicting personal growth in that era. In her childhood, Shen Jialan experienced a major family tragedy. Growing up, she lived under the name Xu Lanxiang, guided by fate step by step: initially only hoping to survive, then wanting to live fully, and finally hoping to live meaningfully, to enlighten others.
βWhat touched me most was the female lead's resilience. As a maidservant, she was extremely skillful and knowledgeable, but all for the sake of survival. When she needed to protect herself or those around her, she used her intelligence to overcome danger. Ultimately, she became a powerful and respected matriarch.β
The most striking aspect is the image of the 80-year-old woman with silver hair, played by Tan Songyun. Before filming, this image was created using complete 3D modeling, and the makeup trial process lasted 6-7 hours. When it was finished, everyone around was silentβthe image of the old woman was incredibly realistic, with a face full of wrinkles and hands covered in age spots, leaving viewers deeply moved. Tan Songyun wasn't overly emotional at the time, but when she removed the makeup, the feeling was complex: as if she was gradually leaving the image of the silver-haired old woman, returning to her youth, giving her the feeling of: "It's like I've lived a whole life, and now I get to start over."
When asked if she had ever imagined what she would look like when she was old and had gray hair, she said: "I've never thought about it, but I hope I can become an elegant and powerful old woman like Lanxiang." During five months of intense and fast-paced filming, she was completely immersed in her character every day. Only when she saw the banner "Filming Ends - Good Luck," did Tan Songyun realize that everything was truly over. After spending five months living the life of Xu Lanxiang, returning to the real world, she couldn't help but feel a sense of melancholy and nostalgia.
A excerpt from Her Style magazine, where Tan Songyun talks about her character Fang Wanzhi in the drama "My Destiny"
________________
A thermos flask, a washbasin, a lace-trimmed mirror, a plastic comb β these are the era-defining props that appear in "My Destiny." The drama, set primarily in Guizhou and Shenzhen, tells the coming-of-age story of Fang Wanzhi, a girl from Guizhou, across different eras. Closely intertwined with the city of Shenzhen, from its genre to its character development, the drama possesses rare qualities on screen.
Playing Fang Wanzhi from her teenage years to her fifties, Tan Songyun shared: "From the very beginning, her background and choices captivated me."
Fang Wanzhi is a girl from a small county, raised with love. One day, she discovers that she was an abandoned child from the mountains, adopted at a young age, and that her biological mother has passed away. Out of curiosity, she returns to her hometown, wanting to see her relatives and understand why she was abandoned. Ultimately, she chooses to shoulder the family responsibilities that weren't originally hers, allowing that background to become a binding thread throughout her life.
Her life then takes a different turn. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she drops out of school and goes to Shenzhen to work β as a kitchen helper in a communal canteen, a hotel service staff, a worker on a zipper factory assembly lineβ¦ Each experience helps her mature quickly. Later, she starts her own business selling wholesale jeans, enters the foreign trade industry, and opens a processing factory. To expand her toy business, she works as a secretary at a large foreign trade corporation to "learn the ropes." Finally, she became the owner of a listed companyβGeneral Manager Fang.
At each stage, Fang Wanzhi's mentality and behavior were different. Initially, she was a charming young lady from a county town; when she first arrived in Shenzhen, she was both shocked and uncertain about the future, timid like a little white rabbit. While working in the canteen and getting to know the other women, she became more open. After the canteen closed, she was forced to find another pathβworking for others, raising capital, and finding markets. She quickly matured and embarked on the path of entrepreneurship, becoming resolute and strong.
The segments from 40-50 years old were the most difficult, especially the 45-47 age range. Although only two years apart, the actress had to be extremely restrained to portray the subtle differences. The method of transformation lay in matching the identity of a female entrepreneur: a calm demeanor, an upright posture, a bun hairstyle, and clothing appropriate to the era. The sense of age was conveyed through makeup, such as the less bright eyes. By the age of 50, wrinkles around the eyes, eyeshadow, and hairstyle were used to further depict the passage of time.
This was the first time Tan Songyun had played a role spanning such a wide age range, and she repeatedly confirmed whether the scenes at forty and fifty years old were actually played by her. When she received confirmation, she thought, "Then I must become her." In the later stages of filming, she even unconsciously repeated Fang Wanzhi's movements, as if she had developed muscle memory.
One particular scene shows Fang Wanzhi at 50 years old standing in a square. She sees young people live-streaming and singing karaoke, and remembers the time when she first arrived in Shenzhen, when people still carried cassette players to the square. When invited to sing, she chose a popular song from her youth β "The Sailor" β swaying to the melody as she sang. βAt that moment, I cast aside all distractions, completely immersing myself in the role, thinking about what an elegant businesswoman of this age should look like.β
What touched Tan Songyun the most about Fang Wanzhi was her indomitable spirit and resilience. She never bowed to fate, yet was mature and measured. In the early days of her business, selling jeans, she overstocked and couldn't sell the goods; all her capital was borrowed money. She considered asking her family for money, but ultimately didn't, choosing to solve all the difficulties herself. She always felt a sense of guilt towards her adoptive father; even though he never treated her as an outsider, she reminded herself not to trouble him further.
Finally, in the flow of time and the changes of the era, Fang Wanzhi achieved reconciliation with herself.
Like Go Ahead, My Destiny will have a long life on CCTV and satellite rebroadcasts. The audience have transferred their love for Li JianJian onto Fang Wan Zhi. ππ
