just finished the first 4 eps and i’m enjoying it so far. i think ppl need to understand that this isn’t all just about romance and fun it’s also a political mystery drama so of course they’ll take a couple episodes to build up the plot/backstory before the two leads meet again. really looking forward to seeing more of general ling he looks so good omg

finally got around to watching this, wasn't expecting much based on the reviews but i thought it was pretty decent. if you don't pay attention to the foreigners mouths when they speak then the dubbing doesn't seem as off lol.

watched this almost two weeks ago but already considering rewatching...

finally got around to watching and im obsessed! i usually cannot finish longer dramas like this but i just couldnt stop watching i finished it so quickly im sad that its over. genuinely such a solid drama plus the ML's long braided hair is so pretty i canttt i love him

loved this drama so much, im sad it ended so quickly i finished it in two days! i wish they didn’t cut so many scenes but what can you do. looking forward to the leads next dramas <3

People really need to understand that jjy wasn’t professional trained as an actor in the beginning, she focused on performing, of course she still needs to grow and learn in acting. She is working hard despite everyone criticizing her and is honestly one of the better idol actors. Hopefully we will get to see her play more challenging roles in the future that really show how much she’s grown.

i’m quite surprised that the last eps were actually pretty good although i feel like qing tai’s death was too quick, i was expecting an actual war or something. that being said they wrapped everything up nicely, can’t wait to see zsx and jjy’s next dramas

they really can’t go one episode without making me frustrated… Grand Empress Dowager‘s maid had so many chances to bring up the fact that GED was only testing LQ and her death was not caused by him. the lack of communication in this show is so annoying but i guess it does make it somewhat interesting bc i’m very curious to see if LQ and JBN are putting on an act like some people in the comments have suggested. we’ll just have to see what happens tomorrow.
