Some people say this drama is great but you need to turn off thinking. I'd say it's good until around ep 12. Then you really need to turn off thinking :)
It was my first time watching Nana and her acting here was mediocre. Some of her smiles were looking so fake that I thought she was pissed while playing her role.
"Rot in prison" is just how justice should work. In reality that approach fails very often - mainly when applied…
That thought challenge is more suitable for ethics forum.
People argue if death sentence in justice system is wrong but in every judicial system vigilantism is condemned as wrong. Here we have a vigilante-like execution.
There are many reasons why vigilantism is bad but I'm just going to post one of them: because it's a judgement from 1 person (the vigilante). That vigilante is biased towards the person he kills. So his judgement may not be right. That's why people invented justice system - so that people would be judged by people who are not influenced by the case.
Of course even if vigilantism is bad one can argue that sometimes we choose between doing something evil and allowing something more evil to happen. That may be true - if we do we're still doing something wrong.
I think it was very in character. She's stubborn and when she gets something in her head she won't stop. We saw…
Yes, the her relation with Ju Ran is a strong factor for her emotionally. And it's fine. But she dealt with emotions many times before (with her mother, with joining the group as underdog, with her stage performances) so it's unbelievable that suddenly she looses her mind because of this one, however important, relation.
Her choice to try to improve her vocal even more was just plain stupid - especially when her vocal performance in her minor role as the soldier just stole the show and she got a huge positive feedback from the audience about her performance.
What she should and would normally do is go to Ok Gyeong and ask her for an advice (as she did few times before).
Anyway I still consider this twist forced. And it's ok, no big deal. I was just facepalming for the whole episode, then I just accepted it and moved on 😉
I loved when gilho shoot that bas**d usually you see they leave them to rot in prison but gilho did best thing
"Rot in prison" is just how justice should work. In reality that approach fails very often - mainly when applied to people with money and power. They usually have many ways to avoid justice. So yeah, it seems like it was a wise decision to shoot. Morally wrong, but wise.
But I guess Gilho just wanted the bastard to die. He didn't need to think about morals ;)
1. If your daughter is sick - don't leave her alone with some monks. 2. Do not play with stones and animals. 3. Don't walk on ice and if you do look out for holes.
BIBI was very sexy, so +2 points for that. And I liked the intro. Other than that it was just ok, especially the second half - but that's just my opinion.
I guess this movie is most teachers' wet dream. Especially in societies/situations where teachers cannot do much against improper behaviour (my guess is that in every society situations like that happen from time to time but maybe I'm too much of a sceptic).
Anyway this movie wasn't much fun to watch. I've watched it only because of Shin Hye Sun, but I've expected something better.
Only in this version her brother (beginning of the movie) is not a total idiot. In both Korean and Chinese versions her brother kills himself and makes his sister blind.
There are some more changes to the story but I liked this one the most.

What I mean is that up until episode 8 she was portrayed as strong, confident and competitive character. Then out of nowhere she lost faith in herself. That was the inconsistency I was talking about. That was so strange, because up to this point everything went well for her. Yes, she made some mistakes but she overcame them and learned from them and became even stronger. So sudden loss of self-confidence was really strange for me.
its weird how so many people are crying about a dog dying in the movie where two girls were shown murdered
It's because this is one of the 2 messages that this movie is about: 1. If you mess with people while they are driving you're f!@king stupid and you deserve to die. 2. Let people die, but respect the dog.
I need to say that the plot twist in episode 8 was a bit unbelievable. It was not consistent with the character development in my opinion. Other than that I enjoyed the show.

The story was less important for me.
Watching this movie felt like a visit in a nice garden.
