She vanished after My Little Happiness for which role was the one that got her the most notice and acclaim.

It turns out she got married in Sept 2020 after production of My Little Happiness completed, and in May 2021 she gave birth to a son. So it seems she is parenting over acting.

She did quite well financially in all aspects of her career: acting, singing and modelling previous to getting married so it may just be that she does not feel the need at this time to get back into the entertainment industry. Even her last Wiebo posts - a few images where she was selling some fashion are over 2 yrs old.

All I can say is good luck, enjoy life and if you return to cdrama we will watch you!

Its always interesting to read the different takes on a drama. Here it is rated a 7.5 and if only judging by the comments here one might be inclined to avoid it. Over at iQiyi website the drama has a 9.5 rating from viewers. Elsewhere sites that tend to have it scored in the low 8 range.

I think the comments and rating here are unduly harsh and not reflective of the drama. Having seen it I think the main plot points and subtleties went over the heads of some.

My suggestion to any considering the drama is to view it. It is love/hate dynamic with many twists. Both leads were good. Xing Fei's role is the broader in terms of character depth and requirement but this is often the case: the men pose, pout and look angry and as long as they do the capably the fangirls drool.

I just watched General's Lady. Lovely actress and she has real stage presence. Very pretty and a flawless complexion. She carried that drama - the writers did very little with the lead male character. Unfortunately they also used a voice actor to dub his part and the dubbing is not good. She voices her part in the drama.

I checked her social media. Her last Weibo post was Jan 2025 wishing everyone a happy new year, and pictures with I think her mother and grandmother. Nothing posted anywhere since then but it seems she has stepped away from acting for awhile. From a viewer's perspective this is a shame but hopefully it is by choice and she will return.

On set filming new drama What We Owe (also seems to be called One Third of Us). 2 other dramas she has filmed may come to air soon - I think Youku announced one might be in the Nov-Dec release schedule.

Xing Fei did a post on tiktok saying that she has been super busy filming this year, so she is active. I guess it is just a matter of post production on some and others making it to the broadcast schedule.

A good rating but I feel the last few episodes did the drama in and the rating at Douban and here at MDL took a pummeling as a result. Viewing commentary across various social media I am seeing some consensus that the drama underperformed in expectation of the main romance plotline and the business plotlines and generally "messy" last few episodes became tedious and frustrating for many.

My summation is Zhao Jin Mai's stellar acting was not enough to overcome several storyline deficiencies. In this drama she may also have come across as "too professional" from an acting point of view - every mark hit 100% but leaving some viewers a bit cold or underwhelmed. I read a comment elsewhere that had many upvotes where the viewer remarked they felt ZJM was acting the role vs living it and the difference was discernible to them.

The cast was fine but the ML character and actor seem to be taking a hit.

I am just musing about where I think it the drama may have underperformed resulting in the good but not spectacular ratings.

Another drama ruined by use of voice actors for all the roles, and it was not very good voice acting either. But it really begs the question of why? Anyway, if interested in a drama where what you see and what you hear do not match then you will be ok with this drama. For me it was a great disappointment.

A very beautiful and talented woman. She is getting some main roles again along with some good support roles. Glad that she is active.

I will be very disappointed if Mun Ka Young passes on this sequel and I am genuinely curious as to why she would do such.

I enjoy Shin Ye Eun and my remark is not aimed "against her". I simply would prefer Ka Young in this role.

There is dubbing for a different language. But replacing the actor's voice with a voice actor in the native language of the production is different. A few dramas replace the actor's voice with a voice actor but it is becoming much less common.

Started this series due to Xu Ruo Han and the general good comments and rating for the series.

On the up side she is youthfully beautiful in the drama and Miles Wei looks quite dapper to date. XRH was 21 when she acted in this drama and so actually a little younger in real life then the character she portrays but at least they are a close match.

Her naivete in the early episodes is a bit frustrating and in my mind unrealistic. Every aspect of her character seems to be dumber then what I would ever expect from someone newly graduating with a Math Honor degree. To me this is not very good writing. I know this is intended to be a relatively fluffy light in tone drama and the real focus was to introduce her to the cdrama audience but this incongruity in the FL character is annoying.

On the plus side she, her friends and the grandfather are all positive rather than negative characters and the ML character is green flag. Sometimes it is nice to view a drama that involves supportive influences - we all need some good in life.

Based on what I have seen to date I think the 8.2 rating is very generous. It is not that I fell there are any gross negatives to date such that it should be low scored but I think realistically in overall quality of drama this is a mid 7 drama - which is a very acceptable rating for a mid level show.

GOOD NEWS! Irreplaceable continues to perform on Netflix, maintaining its 8th place position on the NetFlix Global Top 10 series ranking chart.

In fairness it should be noted its daily point score which is calculated by total views across all markets declined slightly from 190 points the prior day to 177 points yesterday. It remains in first place for viewership in several markets.

Interestingly the rating at IMDB has skyrocketed to 8.6.

Irreplaceable climbed another spot to 8th place on the Netflix Global Top 10 series. Up from 9th place yesterday.

It has been in the Global Top 10 series for a few days now and the next test is if it can stay in the Global Top 10 for a week. If so it will join very select company as I can only recall 2 or 3 cdrama that have achieved that distinction.

Irreplaceable has made it into the daily Netflix Global Top 10 series chart in each of the last 4 days.

Today it ranked in 9th place. I posted a snapshot of the ranking chart in the Drama Achievements Discussion above hosted by BaekhyunoonaID.

Very few cdrama have made it into the daily Global Top Ten series so congrats to the production.

For certain it will also place in the Netflix Weekly Top Ten Non-English Series for the period of Sept 28 to Oct 4 which will be released next Tuesday. I suspect it will debut in the Top 5 on that chart.

The marquee star of this drama is Zhao Jin Mai. Wei Da Xun is what is known as a "journey lead & supporting actor" meaning he has enough talent to slot into roles depending on the production needs but he is not an actor with significant brand attached to his name.

So storyline is anchored around Xu Chi's journey part of which seems to be building to a romance.

My impression to date is that ZJM chose this drama to add a serious drama role to her portfolio in which romance is not a primary component, at least in a good chunk of the drama. I am wondering if it will play out similar to Ester Yu's role in Road to Success - the primary plot ended up being a slice of life story with emphasis on the storyline surrounding the sports team, and the romance was tertiary. In Irreplaceable substitute "surrounding the sports team" with "surrounding the business operations and people". Romance may be introduced in the remaining 10 episodes but I wonder how deep that storyline will go.

Just as some male actors have seen their brand propel when appearing along side say Ester Yu or Zhao Lu Si I think this drama is going to improve Wei Da Xun brand. This is the best main role he has had in his career.

I understand your point. I don't why the writer chose 20 episodes and I have not ever seen a clear explanation on this either.

Wanted to watch it but the FL is dubbed by a voice actor! What were they thinking? Makes it totally unwatchable.
