I had stopped watching this drama after half of episode 1 thinking I'll watch it after its done airing and when I have time but I started watching this on saturday and now IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS WAITING FOR THE NEXT EPISODES. This drama just gets better. The actors and story are amazing. The story is not something new but the actors carry their roles so phenomenally. Every actor in this drama is excellent. Lee joon-gi shines the brightest but Moon chae-won owns her character and the emotions she displays are heart-breakingly amazing. I always cry at the father-daughter scenes; the little girl is so cute in her role. We only got to see Kim ji-hoon in the last few episodes but a big shout-out to how he portrays his character. I've seen him in other dramas but his character here is a surprise and something new and he nails it. The romance is so warm in this drama. Lee joon-gi and Moon chae-won are so beautiful together it breaks my heart to realize this is just a drama loll. Seo hyun-woo and Jang hee-jin are amazing as well. I love the little comedy from Seo hyun-woo; especially when the three of them are discussing something important and all of a sudden kim moo-jin just blurts out "how are you so beautiful?" while staring at do hae-su. That scene cracked me up.
P.S. I dont know why but for some reason I don't mind not having many kisses in this drama. Like in other dramas I would be so disappointed if there weren't any kisses but in this drama just an interaction between Do hyun-soo/Baek hee-seung and Cha ji-won is enough for me. The way they portray a couple is enough. The way they interact just warms my heart and the kisses are just bonuses. I don't mind the kisses (come-on its lee joon-gi) but I wouldn't mind if there weren't any.
The trailer is nothing like the synopsis. Thought it was going to be emotional and poignant, turned out to be…
Haha. I know I thought it would be an emotional drama as well but it seems like a rom-com. I also thought she was blind. I think the synopsis might be altered or the drama made changes. But yeah the kisses seem real! Lol.
I think you should skip this one. Because if you couldn't understand that it is not the "typical bad girl changes…
No its not that I don't understand the complexities of it, I find I had too many expectations from this drama and the first few episodes didnt match up to it. I did wait for the 3-4 episodes eagerly but then it felt bland. I love the actors in this drama so I thought it would be different. And other than that flashback where she rips apart the butterflies I don't see any how GMY has antisocial personality disorder. At most I feel she had a traumatic past and she suppressed her emotions.
the female lead isnt a bad girl.. she has anti-social personality disorder.. her badass behavior comes from the…
I know the female lead isn't a bad girl and I also don't think she has anti social personality disorder. I may not be an expert at what antisocial personality disorder entails but it doesn't lead to positive outcomes. People who suffer from antisocial pd enjoy other peoples suffering. I actually believed that GMY had apd but after that scene where she justifies herself to MKG about setting the flasher free and how not everyone should be confined made me think she was just suffering from a previous trauma and she had suppressed all her emotions. I might be wrong on the fact that she explained herself to him because i watched it a month ago but there was something in her look and that overall scene where it seemed like that the directors were trying to show that what GMY did was right which doesn't fit if shes suffering from antisocial personality disorder.
Question: Should I continue this? I've watched the first four episodes but then I got bored with it. I thought we would finally have a villain/bad guy(girl) story but after reading the comments it seems like a typical bad girl changes for the good guy story. I don't mind those stories but if it was a healing story, it should've had simple aesthetics like "when the weather is nice" but this drama seems too fancy. I don't want to compare it with another drama but I feel like we were oversold on this drama from the beginning and the synopsis that the later episodes seem boring and static.
P.S. I'll find you when the weather is nice had the winter season as the setting but all the characters and story line made me feel so warm and fluffy. If you haven't checked out that drama please do it asap.
This drama is actually really good. Yes its an overused story line but the relationships and interactions between characters is refreshing. The gangster ahjusshi is amazing. Even though he's not the main lead, I'm so interested in his character and story line. I don't want him to end with noh ae jung but him by himself is just perfect. I want to see him interact with dong chan too. And he finally has a friend loll.
As for who I like with noh ae jung, I think oh dae oh is a good choice. Yes yeon woo is nice too her but I feel like she's always seen him as a junior but I guess now she's feeling things. But she's so much more comfortable with oh dae oh. And I love son ho jun. hahhaha. Idk if oh dae oh is the dad but I feel like he is. But at the same time I feel the writers will bring a twist. I also think Ryu jin is not the dad but his dreams/nightmares are hilarious.
The last but the most important point is Noh Ha Nee. This girl is amazing. I haven't seen her in other dramas but I would love to see her other dramas. She makes me smile and cry and laugh. Her acting in the drama is really good.
Don't give me anxiety. Unless and until it's not our leads or sang-tae I'm okay lol
The ending is usually tragic in dramas that deal with psychological disorders. Or because the writers want to give the viewers a happy ending they end up botching the show. So I would rather have a realistic ending than a botched up happy ending. I'm really invested in the drama too loll. I can't stop ogling at Kim soo hyun just the way ko moon young does loll. I love the intensity between the characters.
Don't give me anxiety. Unless and until it's not our leads or sang-tae I'm okay lol
i feel like it will be one of those three based on the way the drama is progressing and what we've seen so far. But let's hope im completely wrong because that would be heartbreaking.
I'm kinda glad they didnt have a kid at the end of the drama. It just shows that their story was not only about the baby and their marriage didnt depend on the baby but rather they loved each other. Yes the baby was what brought them together in the first place but they grew to like each other. And after watching ep 31-32 both of them thought the baby was what the other person wanted but they just wanted to be together. Yes it was sad that jiaxin had a miscarriage but for me this story was about the couple growing up/maturing together and learning to love each other for who they are. So I'm really happy they didnt have a baby at the end (like show it in the drama) and just ended it with their wedding. The ending and last few episodes were unsatisfying but for me not showing that they had baby was a good choice.
So I havent successfully watched the last episode (I watched it without subs) but from what I understood Dylan…
So when Xiyi is trying to annul the divorce agreement, his lawyer tells him not to but rather make another agreement which would benefit jiaxin (stupid lawyer) but anna hears xiyi talking to his lawyer so when jiaxin is about to receive the new agreement, anna changes it making jiaxin think that xiyi doesnt really care for her or the baby. So she goes out and xiyi follows her and between the argument jiaxin gets hit by a car leading to a miscarriage and xiyi signs papers that say he wants to save the mom and not the baby so she kinda starts hating him thinking this was what he wanted all along. And then anna tells jiaxin that she cant conceive because xiyi pushed her when he was chasing after jiaxin, which makes jiaxin feel even more guilty. And so she decides to leave him.
i would suggest to not read my comment if you liked the drama haha! but i need to write what i have on my heart.…
I loved your post! The "WHOLE DYLAN" part killed me loll. I agree that Dylan was a better choice and it may have worked in real life but since this is a drama xiyi was jiaxins destiny. I really loved Dylan too but I think he was too precious to bear all of jiaxin and xiyis problems. So im kinda glad he didnt end up with jiaxin. Xiyi is a liar and cheater and weak but this version of Xiyi was much better than the others. I found this xiyi to be more bearable and relatable. He didnt get jiaxin pregnant on purpose and had to get married because of his grandmother and jiaxins mom. He wanted to take care of the baby but he didnt want to get married. This would have worked out in someplace else but being pregnant w/o getting married in China is a big NO NO. And I dont think the writers would have wanted to portray that in the drama because it doesnt reflect the chinese culture. Xiyi loved anna for 3 years so we cant expect him to forget her overnight. But him realizing that he too needs someone that loves him and takes care of him was very humane. He also taught Jiaxin to be confident but he didnt like it when she was right over him which was also very man-like (which I hate btw). But when he meets a changed jiaxin he surprised and doesnt like the changes but understands that it makes her happy and hes happy with that and he loves her. Yes hes possessive and selfish but hes not entirely bad. I hate when guys get possessive over their gf in real life but I love watching it in dramas so Im not complaining about that loll. I think everyone is this drama was selfish. I dont blame anna for choosing her career over xiyi but xiyi found someone who takes care of him and someone who is with him 24/7 so it was pretty obvious he was going to forget anna and he broke it off with her but she kept clinging on to him for which I cant blame him and even after he separated from jiaxin he kept a distance for her. He was being friendly with her because he pushed her and now she cant conceive (which was horse shit). So I do agree with you on the Dylan part and some parts on xiyi but I really wanted xiyi and jiaxin to end up together.
Can someone explain the ending to me, I'd like a spoiler for the ending so at least know what I'm getting myself…
So I havent successfully watched the last episode (I watched it without subs) but from what I understood Dylan tells Xiyi that Anna had changed the divorce agreement. Xiyi only found out in the last episode (face palm)! and then he runs to stop Jiaxin from leaving and they get married and live happily ever after. lol. The sad part is all this and getting back together happens in the last episode.
I finally watched episode 23-24 and I think they underplayed the accident and miscarriage thing, like it wasn't as impactful as the korean or taiwanese versions. Someone said in the comments below that at least they should've shown blood on her white dress or just some blood anywhere and it would've been a tad bit better. In the taiwanese, there was so much blood I couldn't handle it and I was young so it felt disgusting but it really showed the gruesomeness of the accident. I don't remember if the korean version had blood but I still start tearing up when I hear that Ailee ost and the accident scene. I know episode 25-30 are out but I'll wait for the subs and then judge the whole separating event. Also IMO the person who caused the most misunderstandings between the main couple is Anson. Like this dude is everywhere wherever trouble is. I liked how in the korean version, the secretary was so supportive of the fl and he was the one to keep Gon on track even though he had to be mean sometimes and just say the truth. But in here Anson is just dumb (not literally) but it looks like he still thinks Xiyi is in love with Anna. And whats more ironic is Jiaxins best friend is dating Anson but he still doesnt seem to care for Jiaxin. It looked like he was more hurt when the doctor said Anna would have trouble with her pregnancy in the future than when he found out Jiaxin had a miscarriage. Xiyi in this version is the best ml from all versions of fated to love you IMO. He's doing everything he can to protect Jiaxin and be a family with her and ximi. He's not a jerk, he's very nice to Jiaxin and he told Anna off when she came back. But him taking a shower and getting ready in Anna's apartment really threw me off especially when they showed the closet and his clothes were there. It felt really weird. But overall this Xiyi is my favourite. Im just upset that they'll only be together for 9 episodes.
I feel like I'm gonna end up watching the whole show through short clips cause I can't wait for the eng subs. Also can someone share a link of raw episodes as they come out if possible. Thanks.
I really like how all the comments below discuss antisocial personality disorder. But I think the synopsis is a bit of a stretch of what the character actually might suffer from based on the trailer. I don't think the fl is really suffering from antisocial personality disorder based on the trailer. Antisocial personality disorder is a serious issue. It would be really hard to portray how someone with antisocial personality disorder falls in love with someone. Since this drama focuses more on the relationship aspect, I think they shouldn't have chosen antisocial personality disorder. I would love it if they did it right like explaining the diagnosis, the DSM symptoms. Of course they might and I may be wrong since the drama hasn't come out yet. But from the trailers I feel like the fl is just detached from the emotion of love, sympathy, and empathy because of a traumatic past. I think the fl is rude and mean rather than antisocial. Yes someone can be antisocial but to be diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder is a different thing and more serious. And if she is diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder, I wonder what kind of stories she writes for children's books and the brother of the ml seems like a big fan of hers. I really like the concept but it will be hard for the directors/writers to make this believable/beautiful/romantic at the same time. I will wait for the drama to air. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION! NO HARD FEELINGS!
