I don't usually say this but Kim eun-hee deserves to be humiliated. She's such a hypocrite. I'm trying to understand her but at this point she's a mess.
The mom and dad are definitely hiding secrets but looks like they'll be revealed soon. I love how fast paced this drama is so I wonder how much story and twists the writer will bring for the next 12 episode. Also, I'm so confused about who chan-hyuk likes/liked.
This is the first drama thats made me cry in the first episode.

I really like this story, so I don't mind watching all the versions of it!! Korean and taiwanese were really good.…
Yeah the OSTs are really good.
On You Are My Destiny Jun 7, 2020
This drama is really good. I've watched the korean and taiwanese versions and I really enjoyed those but since I loved the leads in eternal love, I am so obsessed with them in this drama. The korean version had me bawling my eyes out so I don't know how I'm gonna deal with all the sadness in this one. I kinda ship Dylan and Jiaxin but I want the main leads together too. I love the grandmother too. I can't wait to see how the relationship between Xiyi and his mother-in-law develops. I loved that relationship in the korean version.

I can't help it but when Anna gave Jia Xin her scarf.. I SHIP IT
I know exactly how you feel. I didn't understand it when I read this comment but I watched the episodes yesterday and that scene was weirdly beautiful. loll. I still love the main couple but that scene just started another storyline. I know i'm gonna hate Anna but that scene was really funny and beautiful.

Just a follow up. Let's make parallels of the two leaders, LG and PMOpposition:LG - no opposition, everyone loves…
I totally agree with what you said. Her character arc could have been great but the writers and directors decided to butcher the character. She is a really great actress because she makes me mad with the things she does which shows she is doing her job. I think all the characters are not shown properly. They might have been written greatly but the direction is a bit off. I love negative characters because they show the reality of humans rather than fake protagonists. One of my favourite characters is Choi yoo-jin (Song yoon-a) from The K2.

I'm really sorry you had meet bozos who dont treat women right. This world really needs to get their shit right especially people of authority with everything thats going on around the world and the US.

I agree with a lot of stuff you said. To explain what I meant was that the PMs character is not built up properly and so if someone were watching the show, the PM would come off as a negative character.

"I wonder if you think she is this way because she is a woman?" ????
Why would I think this way. I wasn't talking about her as a woman, I was talking about her character in general. I dont mean to be rude. yeah I get Hilary Clinton had her demons but I was actually rooting for her because she was a better option than Trump. I was judging the PMs character not her as a woman. A lot of people did this during the us election as the president of SK was a woman and she was impeached for abuse of power etc. You can't judge two women the same way. Im sorry if this was off topic but Im just saying I dont condone other peoples behaviour towards the PM but in a gist she comes off as a mean and power-hungry person.
Yeah a lot of her behaviour would be acceptable if it were done by a man. And I agree that Corea is still backwatered (like I said in my previous post).
By saying Corea is almost perfect I mean we haven't seen much conflict happening. It may be happening behind the scenes but we haven't actually seen it on screen. I guess they havent shown much conflict because they want to show that lee gon is a perfect king (which I disagree with).
I am not saying everyone except the PM are perfect but at this point I find Lee Rim more tolerable as a villain than the PM. And I dont think its the PMs fault or the viewers, its the director/writers fault for playing her character like that. They don't say anything about her background except she was poor and divorced. Whatever we're all thinking about her background and past life is all conjecture.

Okay so I understand that the PM is not treated fairly by her colleagues but to me there is a reason for that. I feel she's too greedy and power hungry thats why lee gon doesn't trust her. Yeah of course I think Lee gon is privileged but I dont think hes as bad as the PM. I mean Corea is like an almost perfect world so Idk what work lee gon is supposed to do.
As for the japanese ship attach scene, I think that was the definite point where we could see the PMs greed for power and to show off her power. She wanted to attach the japanese ship right away. The reason everyone was opposed to her was they wanted to talk things out with the japanese rather than start a war (thats what a good leader does). There was a reason Lee gon didnt just attack right away.
Also, the PMs colleagues dont like her cause shes a bit of a show off. I agree that they treat her bad cause she's a woman but she's greedy and devious. In terms of politics, she is a great politician but not the right one for the people of corea. We havent seen many conflicts or issues in corea yet so to have a power-hungry PM to lead a country full of good people would be a bad choice.
The reason they havent given much of a backstory on the PM is I guess because they wanted to draw a clear distinction between the bad PM and the good monarch. There are a lot of other great dramas where they nicely build up a negative character but this drama hasnt done a good job on it.

But I agree with how Corea is supposed to be a modern monarchy but they're still so backwatered.

Okk thank you.

“ The present lee gon will be stuck in Korea and the kid who would grow up to be lee gon would be still in corea…
Oh yeah I totally understand you. Thats why I said it doesnt make much sense either loll. But what I meant was the present lee gon would be stuck in korea as the loop would end and the portal would be never be opened. Yeah I understand the time loop is a really confusing concept. I sometimes get lost myself just thinking about it loll.
Let's just see what happens. I feel like we (the viewers) will be royally f***ed with the ending.
On The King: Eternal Monarch Jun 1, 2020
I think the scene we saw at the beginning where tae eul and shin jae are interrogating the uncle will happen soon. I think this time when lee gon travels back in time to stop his uncle from killing him, he will be transported back to Korea with the uncle and this whole drama that we have seen would never have happened because there would be no Lee rim. Thats why tae eul and shin jae didnt seem to know lee rim. The present lee gon will be stuck in Korea and the kid who would grow up to be lee gon would be still in corea and be the king. Hence, we'll finally have 2 lee gons.

I know it kinda doesn't make sense but just my 2 cents.

I see some people gravitating towards the PM's character. She's an interesting one but the way she's portrayed…
Yeah I agree and the word pathetic describes her perfectly. She's a hypocrite too IMO. She's always boasting that shes worked her way up but shes the most snobbish person in the drama. I get that shes one of the villains but even villains have motives for doing whatever they're doing. I get the pm wants to be powerful but why. What does she want to do with the power? If she thinks she'll become the queen and rule corea then I must say she is delusional.
I would love to hate her but at this point I just want someone to kill her.

I think don't think of the parallel worlds are linear, and don't be bothered too much about the age of people.…
No i think lee gon mentions at the beginning of the drama that the history split during one of the kings. Basically monarchy in corea continued while in korea it did not. They both are following the same time as seen with the new year.

Lady noh said one of the previous kings(or Royal member) brought her from Korea to Corea. I don’t know why she…
Ok. I remember lady noh said she was given the opportunity to come to a world where the war didnt exist. I may have missed the part about the previous king or royal member bringing her over. But yeah exactly why her and why would they introduce this subplot now when the story is almost over and there are still a million things they need to clear up.
What puzzles me is why is nobody talking about the flute in Corea if it was such a big thing. Someone should have information about it or there should be records or something but it looks like lee gon is working from scratch.
On The King: Eternal Monarch May 31, 2020
Ok so episode 13 frustrated me even more. I get things are starting to unravel but there are so many things they need to clear up in like 3 episodes.
I said this in a earlier post about whether or not the manpasikjeok existed in Korea as well. I agree with people that not all things exist in both worlds but then how did that palace lady come to corea from korea? Did someone travel from corea to korea during that time? I now feel like all the characters are just plain stupid and over analyzing things. Im not trying to be rude but things are now starting to piss me off.

This plot is sometimes confusing me and it shouldn't,since I am a wibbly wobbly, timey wimey travel stuff fan...I…
OMG I'm sorry this is a different topic but Dark is so good. I'm waiting for the 3 season and hoping it comes out on June 27 like its rumoured.
But I agree Dark was easier to follow than this and their science made more sense that this. I feel this hasn't really introduced the science behind the portal and travelling to a parallel world and I think it won't make much sense since theres like 4 more episodes. To make sense they have to use all 4 episodes or at least 2 full episodes to explain the science but they won't do that. I do skip scenes too but I understand the story so it's not you its the story itself and its execution. Lets see how tomorrows episode goes.

I officially pronounce the ending of this drama a train wreck!!
I feel like I just started this drama and currently I'm on episode 7 or 8, like half-way through. The makers of this drama have so much explaining to do and we've only got 4 more episodes. It's like there's so much fuel but no tracks for the train to run on.
I enjoy the romance but it's not great. I like the pairing of kim go eun and lee min ho. We all know that theses actors are amazing but something about the way their relationship in this drama is written is not great. I feel like there's so much content and had it been a longer drama like 20 or 24 episodes, the drama would have turned out amazing. There are so many great characters to explore, like the villain. We know NOTHING, NADA about Lee Rim's objectives like why the heck does he want the manpasikjeok (hopefully I got it right), why is keeping the mom alive, and why does he keep replacing people???
I wasn't even this frustrated with BOF. Like come on people.
