Lee jongin is that old guy. I think he's like a distant cousin of lee gon. He's a doctor i think.
No problem :)

Oh really? The only jongin I can recall from the drama is the old distant cousin of lee gon. He was also the one to do the autopsy of Lee rim.

I thought Yi and Lee were kind of interchangeble cause Koreans sometimes don't pronounce the L in Lee so it sounds like "yee". But I might be wrong.

So I'm only at episode four and they keep mentioning Lee Jongin but I can't seem to remember who that is??! Ah…

This drama was really great! No lies. The 35 episodes seem a lot and you would think the story will drag but it doesn't. I felt I needed more. I fell in love with all the characters. I wasn't bored at all. This was a drama where I could just watch all the characters.
The sibling relationship was great. Qiaoyi and guanchao fought like real sibling and it was amazing to watch them both support each other.
The parents were a breath of fresh air. Their relationship was great too. I really enjoyed watching their scenes. I usually skip other characters scenes but the mom and dad were so much fun to watch.
The friendship between Qiaoyi and Wuyi was out of this world. It didn't feel exaggerated at all. I loved the way Qiaoyi supported Wuyi more than her brother. She was always ready to beat him up for her loll. The way they supported each other during their respective breakups was so heart touching.
The nephew-uncle relationship was so funny. Yeah they were more like friends but when you realize that they're nephew-uncle, their interaction became so funny.
The 2 couples (plus dachuan and alicia couple) were amazing as well. They had their troubles but they worked it out. The relationships didn't get draggy or boring which was great. The breakups and being together were greatly mapped out throughout the episodes.

All in all this drama was amazing. If you're contemplating whether to watch or not, just watch it, you will not regret it.

That’s a very interesting thought but it’s only humans that have doppelgängers and not inanimate objects…
I'm already short enough for my head to touch the ground. loll.
At this rate i'll have to bury myself underground.

I agree with you. The literal age gap isn't the problem it's the notion of, as you put it, gap in maturity. I…
Yeah I totally agree. That age is pretty understandable.
I really hope the fl is not a naive person but like you said this wasn't the case in the manhwa so let's fingers crossed.

Different topic:
The story and connection between the main characters and actors in Find me in your memory made me completely forget about the age gap. The main actors were so beautiful together.
Let's pray the two actors in this drama pull of their characters well.

Eum moon suk
Yeah I loved him in fiery priest too. I didn't know chief kim was by the same person but it makes a lot of sense cause both dramas were awesome.
Dont hate me for this but:
In some moments eum moon suk reminded me of kim hee chul (with long hair).

with my controversial comment out of the way, I might watch this but I'll wait to see how it plays out first.…

I think I should really learn what the flute object is called! But its such a tongue twister.
This is what it's called: Manpasikjeok

I like that theory but the twins exist in Korea but not Corea so I guess not everything or everyone exists in…
Oh really?? Maybe I missed that part. Then I hope she starts looking for it when she learns about it.
Also why isn't lee gon looking for it? He's been looking for people and other similarities between the two worlds so why not the flute.

I'm going to play the devil's advocate here. I don't think people have as much of a problem with the age gap than…
I agree with you. The literal age gap isn't the problem it's the notion of, as you put it, gap in maturity. I don't mind big age gaps but since it is acting the actors have to play their part well for people to understand the relationship between the two characters if they are romantic partners.
I loved the chemistry between park seo joon and uhm jung hwa in a witch's love. They were so great together I totally didn't mind the age gap.

Now getting to this drama:
For me Kim yoo jung is still too young (or maybe it's just me cause ive seen her in her kid roles). I will have to wait for the drama to air but rn I dont like this pairing. Sometimes having young actors ruins a good plot. I felt this way about tempted with rv joy and woo do hwan. The story was a mature subject but the kdrama was not that great. I don't blame joy for it (well kind of) but I think the directors and producers just wanted a lot of people to watch the show so they added joy but it kinda ruined the storyline.
I do like kim yoo jung a lot but adding ji chang wook makes me skeptical. The story is about a grown man and a young girl. This works in books because you can express anything but live shows are different cause no matter how hard you try there will be a little awkwardness.
If they put in a love line I don't know how I'll feel about it cause he's 33 and shes 20. He should be settling down while she's just starting her life. And kdramas tend to make their heroine very innocent not just practically but theoretically as well which pisses me off.

I hope I change my mind about this couple after the show airs cause I really want this to work.

I hope the writer give at least a somewhat logical explanation because if they don't i will be very pissed.
The science in the show is very interesting but they don't go much into details so I hope they at least give an explanation that makes sense if not scientifically plausible. As long as they give explain their reasoning I will be okay because now I am only watching it for lee gon and jeong tae eul and jo yeong/eun sop.

Thats true. I thought about it too but this flute object is so important and the pathway to crossover opens both ways so there must be something that opens the path in Korea.
I get the the villain used the flute object from his world (Corea) to crossover but it works from Korea too so there must be something, not specifically the flute object that can open a portal to another world.
Also, the history of both worlds is very similar. The timeline diverged from lee gon's grandfather or something (I don't remember well) and all the old people in the palace knew about the flute object. So I guess it should be in Korea too. What I don't understand is why haven't they tried to look for the flute object in Korea? Basically the whole crack in timeline and stuff can be solved with a whole flute (lee gon and his uncle have a piece each).
Jeong Tae eul might have missed the importance of the flute from being busy being all lovey dovey with lee gon. loll.
I hope Shin jae uses his brain and looks for a historian who might know about the flute or just google it.
On The King: Eternal Monarch May 19, 2020
Question: if there's that flute object in Corea, shouldn't there be one in Korea? Everything in one world exists in the second so shouldn't there be that flute object in Korea?

... Just wondering

Goodbye my love by Ailee from Fated to love you (Korean) always makes me cry.
That pain of losing the baby as shown by Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk is incredible.

Oh shoot, never realized they both have the same last name!
