lol this might be a reading comprehension problem. the maid brings in the medicine along with the sweets and says the sweets were prepared because her sense of taste is slowly coming back. then the maid says when you go to see him you should thank him and she says when my taste returns i'll thank him immediately. there's literally no deeper meaning and you can see that in ep 12 when she tastes the sweetness of the dessert or whatever she immediately tries to go to prnce Jing to tell him.

Did you fast forward or something? She has no taste and he's currently aiding her with getting her sense of taste back. It's been a while since he's been helping her with her taste and it's almost at that time where she can taste again so he got the maid to bring her some sweets because the medicine she's consuming is very bitter and she can taste a bit of that bitterness now because it's slowly coming back. You definitely skipped around a bit too much.

I can't wait for her to find out they're not related because it's hard for me to shake these incesty vibes that I get from watching them.
