i don't get it, where exactly was the cheating? how can he deny her advances when it's looking like he needs something from this girl? from my point of view he's just workaholic who wants to advance in whatever he's trying to advance in and he's not good at communicating, but cheating? i saw none of that.

isn't it obvious that she has something that he wants? he's the typical SWE who has low EQ and bad communication.

it can be abusive if the parents want to hold it above their children's heads. there's just a lot of guilt built into the children that if they deviate from the wants of their parents then they're somehow bad people. but of course the reason the children actually feel guilt is because the parents did indeed sacrifice and gave up a lot for their kids otherwise there wouldn't be this feeling of guilt. there needs to be a balance of the collective and the individual IMO.

frr it's just one after another. i was really hoping the scheming could take a back seat to develop the leads relationship for a few episodes, but nope.

i took it as he thinks that the FL's real reason for going to the capital was because she couldn't let go of the ML and that his attempts to get in between them were futile. therefore he's throwing in the towel and want to be supportive of their relationship instead.

filial piety isn't too bad if you have parents that are self aware but if you have manipulative parents then filial piety is a cancer. there's just so many ways for the younger generation to get guilt tripped through filial piety.
