this is literally 80% percent of Asian dramas. I don't see the big deal. but in this case, they sacrificed for…
i think asian dramas have alienated men from watching these dramas which causes them to double down on these themes that cater to women because they've become the main consumers which further alienates the men.
If you’re wondering if she came back for him. yes, yes, she did, but it took till the very last scene to confirm that lmao. This was a dragfest that i only managed to finish because the first 15 or so eps were so good. Overall solid watch but could’ve been so much more.
okay this might be a stretch but what if cen ye and tu li planned the whole thing at their house together? while he was driving FL home he told tu li to go over to ML's house? i remember the first time cen ye arrived in tengcity the ML was also called away by tu li which caused him to miss the show with MJ. tag team homewreckers perhaps?
I have to ask, given that FL was 16yo IRL during filming, there won’t be any kissing right?
there's a forehead kiss but some people are weird about her. they're making her out to be some kind of exploited sex slave when she probably has more privilege than all of us combined here.
Is it only me or china especially in dramas ...is more feminist than we thought.everything happens for FL, evrything…
i mean.. china has a bride price which is a practice from thousands of years ago to ensure that men don't just have sex with women and leave them with nothing. the bride price in modern china is very controversial though as men are still expected to give and women are not expected the same traditional roles.
also had a female emperor as well. it's definitely a lot more progressive than people give it credit for. east asia as a whole IMO. it's less religious which means less policing of women. the policing really comes from the family structure of east asian society, i feel.
As far Cen Ye is concerned his relation with FL is just like ML's relation with Tu Li. Both acting as each other's…
but when they're onscreen together all they ever really talk about is work. 2ml is very indifferent to her it feels like. if he still likes her then the drama is doing a terrible job hinting at that.
there are some boundaries there for example when he brought up the biting in the car and then asked why she laughed and she said it's because she's his subordinate and it's hard to find the correct response.

is this confirmed? their relationship feels very professional to me and it never really gives off anything other than that. but it's still annoying to have him around and tbh i wouldn't be surprised if he was playing along with the FL this whole time.
