I love that the FL is smart and everything but what makes me enjoy her the most is that she's a strong FL that is realistic with her time! Too many historic cdramas these days give modern elements to women from the olden days that it doesn't feel realistic to me.

no, she might not be hopeless! if you saw ep 17 when the arrow was coming for XJS and her brother, she only worried for her brother! she didn't give a shit that there was an arrow coming for XJS! there's HOPE!!

the weird thing about XJS is he seems very honorable as a man because he certainly can get this princess to do whatever he wants her to do but he seems to have no interest in taking advantage of her or even manipulating her emotionally. it's very weird for someone who can brutally train children and do all types of messed up shit but a woman he has no interest in is where he draws the line? anyway, i still hold out hope that the princess has something up her sleeve!

to be fair though at least with xi yang he lets her know that he has absolutely no interest in her. I feel like he could emotionally manipulate her to do a lot of things but then I guess he doesn't really to because she's already giving everything up without needing to be manipulated. XJS really is an interesting character.
