If you like laughing
If you like parodies you will enjoy this drama. If you don't, skip it. I gave it a 9 for story because there were a couple of times it was not consistent with story but overall good parody. I would have given the cast a 10 if Zhao Lu Si had been FL. The current actress did a good job but I think ZLS would have done better, especially during those times when FL is basically saying 什么。("What" for those who don't speak Mandarin. Two songs stand out for me but the others I don't even remember. I will definitely re-watch this because of the acting and story. I love humorous material.ADDITIONAL COMMENTS AFTER FINISHING DRAMA
I loved it! I thought the ending could have been better, but over all I really enjoyed this. I love parodies and this is definitely a parody of Asian dramas as a whole. Need a trope? Yes! Okay, we have several for you...with a twist. Sort of. Maybe.
I am a big fan of LYN's work and when Wang Yi Lun smiles with that dimple I am a goner. When I see Chang Long and Wang Cheng Si are in a drama I know laughs are coming. I have always appreciated Zhu Xu Dan's understated performances. Li Qing and Guo Xiao Tian - guys, I will be keeping my eyes out for you. Very nice to look at and enjoyed their performances. Momo Wu's song Mind Reader is one of my favorites. I didn't know she was also an actress but, that makes sense because so many Asian artists are multi-talented. I'm jealous. I am not familiar with Wang You Shuo or Li Yi Tong so I will be watching for them in other work. I do have Love Between Fairy and Devil on my watch list so will be able to see Li Yi Tong in that.
Overall, if you love antics and laughs, watch this drama in the spirit with which it was created. You will enjoy it.

Watching a 2nd time
I am currently in episode 8 of watching this drama a second time. Here are my reasons:I had no idea who any of the actors were the first time I watched this drama. Since then I have become a fan of Sung Hoon in CEO roles and wanted to re-watch him in a role where he was basically support. I loved HENRY's character and when I found out about his singing and violin talent I became a huge fan. I feel the leads did a good job portraying their characters and liked ML's teasing of FL regarding potential kissable moments.
As someone who has seen domestic violence in a family situation I appreciated that this subject was touched on.
When I was in my twenties I weighed 127 pounds (57.6kg) and now thanks to menopause I weigh 240 lbs (108.9kg) I had a well proportioned figure due to my height and good genes. I can identify with the FL. Inside you know you are still you, but have that nagging feeling of not being quite who you were. Both the first time and this time while watching this drama I was touched by the following comment: "Is your body only single use? Are you going to use it only one day and throw it away?" I really think I need to put this on my refrigerator and take it with me when I go shopping.
From the very beginning I fell in love with the theme song, Beautiful Lady. But then before retirement I made my living as a mobile DJ so I either love or dislike music immediately. Overall I thought the music and sound production in this drama paired well with the appropriate scenes
Someone made a comment about the FL gaining so much weight in the final (to avoid spoiler I won't say why). However, I know many people who have done this and then been able to return to their weight prior to the incident. It was not unrealistic.
Some things I didn't like:
The second leads were okay but nothing to write home about. Didn't care for the stalker female at all. I intensely dislike childish characters and her behavior was so inappropriate. I have not seen the primary leads in any other work and won't go out of my way to watch something just because they are in it. However I am happy for Shin Min Ah that she and Kim Woo Bin have been able to have a loving and stable relationship in a world full of toxic netizens.
Overall:
I would definitely recommend this as a must watch at least one time.

I Liked It!
So many things I loved about this drama.1. I am a fan of Sung Hoon.
1.5 Because Sung Hoon's facial hair shadow I now want to see him in a drama with full facial hair.
2. I am now a fan of Hoang Yen Chibi thanks to this drama.
3. It was short, only 1 hour 15 minutes. A nice little break easy to snack on.
I feel that for a really short drama they did a nice job of telling the story. It could have been longer with more background but I was fine without it. If I need a mental break from some of the longer heavier dramas I would consider watching this again.
Admit it, we all love seeing dramas with lots of kissing or undressed men; but it is really not necessary to tell a good story. I have heard some people review this and say there was no chemistry between the leads? What defines chemistry? Did the reviewers feel this way because of lack of kissing? Lack of ML's chest being shown the entire time? Lack of "meaningful" glances? Lack of an implied sex scene? Personally I felt the chemistry was fine. I think this drama was filmed during Covid which would account for a lot the of missing so called chemistry.
A light drama, perfect for snacking.

Shortchanged us on the ending
Overall I liked this. The little girl was adorable. Never heard of the ML before; but I liked that he wasn't some sexy hunk showing off his abs. More like real life. This is not a slow burn romance but more like two people who came to realize that life was better with the other person in it. For me that is real life because the same thing happened to my husband and I. I was delighted to see so many older actresses that I recognized from other dramas. The father and uncle were nice older men that this senior citizen could appreciate, although the father was way too involved in his daughter's life. The ending: I would have liked less time in the airport staring at the balloons and adding a wedding scene.
Music: I honestly don't remember much of the music except the ending song. I have not been able to find the OST anywhere and I would love to know if it was Xiao Zhan singing.

Script was not fair to Wang Yilun
I began watching this because of Zhao LuSi. I have a tendency to stick to a drama unless is truly bores me to death or I accidentally read someone's spoiler and find out a character I like dies (hello, POB and JTL) Anyway, I kept wondering why the ML was so stone-faced. Just didn't seem right.I have since seen Wang Yilun in other dramas where his character smiles a lot and is humorous. He fits that style of drama much better than this one.
I definitely feel the ending could have been written better. But at least we got an opportunity to turn it into whatever we wanted. He did respect her desire to go alone to Japan by not getting on the plane even when he was called three times on the overhead speakers.

WOW - Just WOW
Powerful movie. I won't give any spoilers. I will say that my university Chinese instructor shows a couple of movies every semester and I am going to recommend this one to her for fall 2025. I am also going to see if I can actually find a DVD available for purchase.I didn't cry but I definitely could feel tension and sadness within myself while watching this. I was never bullied and to the best of my knowledge I didn't know anyone who was bullied when I was in school. BUT, I am an English tutor now and one of my students had to transfer schools because he was being bullied so much. My heart hurt for him because he is a delightful third grader.
Anyway, I would highly recommend watching this movie. Excellent work by the cast. This came out in 2019 and I noticed two actors that I have seen in dramas I have watched so it was cool to see them in some of their earlier work. I also loved the realism of the faces done by makeup people. The characters looked like real people instead of the perfectly made up idol faces we see in TV dramas.

Loved it!
As many have said, cute slice of life. had some nice kisses, smiles, laughter. And maybe the dramas I watch are too tame but this is the first one where we (well for me anyway) actually see her unbuckle his pants.I watched this on Youtube under the heading Marriage First: the movie. Sadly some sections the sound disappeared. I did feel there were some parts where a previous action apparently happened and they were discussing it. Almost like this was really a longer drama but parts got cut so I feel like I need to go to Roku to see what I missed.
I definitely recommend this if you want something quick and easy to binge and you don't need heavy drama. The couple was very well matched and the acting was well done.
WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILER
I was saddened to learn that Itagaki Mizuki passed away at the age of 24. I would have liked to see more of his work as he grew.

Episode 2 kissing scene - OMG
Yes, it is full of tropes. Yes, the production values could have been better. The flashbacks were over used. The music eventually got to be boring/too much. But if you want a fiery kissing/implied sex scene you owe it to yourself to watch episode 2. Episode 8 has a nice scene as well. I started re-watching because of those two scenes and found myself re-watching the whole thing. FL (Song Ji Eun) is cute and ML (Sung Hoon) is very handsome and his kissing, well let's just say I wouldn't turn him away if he tried to kiss me. Unlike most of the reviews I read, I was not impressed by the little boy who portrayed Dong Goo. If you want to see cute and delightful little boy you need to watch C-drama Unforgettable Love with Sun Lennon. Many people also commented that they didn't understand why his mother left his father. Did they actually pay attention to his dad? What an overbearing piece of excrement. I would have left too. But, I would have taken my son with me.
I would call this a "snack" drama. Easy to binge, especially if you fast forward all the flash backs. Enjoy it for what it is, a light hearted rom-com.

Loved it so much I binge watched.
In the last 15 months I have watched 116 dramas. This is the first one that I was so pulled into episode one that I binged the whole thing, only taking short breaks for the bathroom or to grab a sandwich.Excellent work by the entire cast. The story was part sci-fi, part thriller, part romance (sort of) This is the first K drama that I will actually re-watch as time permits. I only gave the music a 6 rating because it didn't distract me from the story but I didn't feel like it added anything either. As a retired DJ, music is my life so when I hear something that makes an impact I definitely feel it.
Be willing to accept that people don't always choose who they will fall in love with and you will enjoy this drama.

Hate the English Dubbing, Otherwise ok
Unfortunately I am only able to watch this on Youtube where I am having to deal with English dubbing and it is awful! I am a second year Mandarin student and cringe whenever the dubbers pronounced a word incorrectly. Okay, rant over.I feel that the drama could move along a little more quickly. I do like the relationship between the four MLs. Also love the strength of the FLs.
Things I didn't like:
Mind you I am only in episode 16 right now so this could change but I don't like the rich woman who controls her new husband. Lady, he did you a solid so cut him some slack!
I feel like the main ML and FL went from hatred due to a misunderstanding to tolerating each other to pretend dating much to quickly.
I must has missed something and will have to go back to re-watch the episode because some people have made it sound like he deliberately snapped her bra which is not how I perceived the scene at all.
There has also been criticism about main ML having three women in his mind at the same time. Folks, up to this point he is not in a serious relationship with at least two of them and the third one the relationship is over ( I suspect she is dead but that hasn't been revealed one way or the other at this point). Maybe I am an anomaly but I have had more than one person in my mind at the same time. When I began dating I didn't know yet what I wanted from a relationship so I dated several men at the same time. Many of them had some of the qualities I was looking for but not all. I think this is true for the ML as well. He is trying to figure out what is important to him.
Some have commented that it is strange for all four men to be in their 30's and not married. I am a woman and was 34 before I married. And like some of the relationships in this drama, I had a better job and more education than my husband. FYI ladies: He had something I couldn't find in anyone else and that is worth more than all the gold in the world. Perhaps that is the case in this drama as well. I'll have to finish watching it to be sure.
