I understand and agree mostly with your insight for the second part - which is what matters the most ! But you cannot use live action movies such as Cinderella of the jungle book to compare to this one since it is quite niche ! Better comparisons would be FMA or 5nights at freddy's and those were BAD. Those examples fit ORV better since we are not talking about the same amount of money used or even the multigenerational audience's expectations but quite a "small group".
What i am annoyed at, is the fact people have been ruining it for those who simply want to check this adaptation. Everyone is allowed to have an opinion and criticize (obviously) but they keep coming to this page and post about how awful it is while they havent seen it. There is a rating of 1/10 only saying "dont watch it" like 50 times.

Yeah i think its mostly people hating on the cast since there is a kpop idol . The other part hating on it just somewhat expects a live action to be as good as a manhwa

It's a live action movie lmao definitely won't be a success but i think multiple people would want to read the manhwa which is nice for the author ! As for me, i cant wait to watch it and laugh if it's bad xD the dragon ball and death note movies are so bad i find them amazing. To be honest, i mostly cant wait for the anime :)

Actually, the author used the opportunity of the movie release (new audience) to tell people to read the manhwa. Nothing was said about not watching the movie from the post you have sent

Let people hate if they want, whether they hate the gay censorship or don't want to see any bromance. There are SO MANY shows out there so let's all just watch something we enjoy instead of spending our energy arguing with others okay ?
For those who want to see or read gay mafia(+18, tw :non con) i recommend Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai (manga + animation movie) since it's so bad it's so good, and Kinnporshe (thai bl show). For those who hate gay stuff, I guess you have everything else 😄

Addicted Heroine is a BL since it's confirmed in the previous drama they are gay and ...doing stuff. HOWEVER China is censuring BL so you won't see any kissing. My guess is that it's like The Untamed so no kissing nor anything but it's obvious the MCs are together/feel strongly for each other.
I'm starting the drama soon so i can get back to you and give you a better answer if you prefer ^_^

Hey there ! It's a happy ending apprently but after the massive trainwreck that was episode 11, don't expect much from this drama. I literally spent 3 hours watching it because it was that awful.
