It was mid.
I have to say, I was so excited going into this drama. I love both JoongDunk and FirstKhao, and was looking forward to them both doing this concept, as I wanted them to do so. But although I did find myself truly enjoying this series and was invested in it, it seemed very rushed and lacked a lot of strong points. I thought that they could have added much more to the plot, as it did not seem that they thought it out, if you ask me. This just seemed like they only wanted to put something out, not worrying about the quality. JoongDunk and FirstKhao themselves have amazing chemistry, which does keep us intrigued, but I'm sorry, this series did not seem to focus on what the viewers would think.FirstKhao is on my top five favorite pairings, but their characters in this did not pull me the way I hoped. Their dynamic with the plot did not hit hard, which was disappointing. I would much rather watch all their other series together because they work better.
JoongDunk is also somewhere on my top five favorite pairings, and unlike FirstKhao's characters in this, I enjoyed the way Fadel and Style clicked in here. Joong's character, Fadel, has more depth than his brother, more storyline. Which is why I believe I enjoyed the series the way I did. And Dunk's character, Style, fit perfectly with him. Style added a bit of comedic relief. I don't understand why Dunk got so much hate for this. His facial structure is more on the relaxed side, making it hard to convey the emotional expressions you must display; however, it never felt forced.
Overall, both pairs did okay to make the show worth watching with what they could do. This series definitely seemed more about quantity than quality. However, I believe that if they had put much effort into the plot and script itself, even if that meant more episodes, then the show would have turned out better. The plot and script are the selling points; it's what keeps viewers interested. No matter who you cast or how great the chemistry between them may be, without a great plot, the show becomes boring and leaves a negative impression for people to just click off. Not to mention the ending of the final episode? I'm sorry, but it looked bad, obviously low budget, and downright rushed. I've seen many other works from this network, and I know they are much better about the plots and quality, which is why I believe they focused too much on just getting something out. In the end, I am surprisingly disappointed about the lasting impression of this series because I had high hopes for it.

A must-watch for those who like vampires and BL's.
SPOILERS! This series is seriously so good! One of my recommendations for people who are new to watching BL. I have not seen one this well-made in a long time. Everything, down to the smallest detail, was phenomenal: the plot, acting, and budget. It seemed to have been put together amazingly. I especially love the NC scene at the end of episode 8, how Tong did not allow Mark to push him away this time. He stayed and helped Mark. The amount of genuine trust he held for him in that moment, even knowing that if Mark had lost control, he would not be able to fight or run away in time. The acting in that scene was so well done, I mean every detail of it. I keep replaying it. I can feel all the emotions through the screen, so that's how you know the acting was thought out well, and many things were taken into consideration. I knew it had a happy ending going in, but watching the final episode when Tong died made me tear up, and when Mark was crying over his body made the tears fall from my eyes. My brain would not comprehend the fact that the series is going to have a happy ending. Not to mention the part where Nakan stabbed Mark's neck, I genuinely believed he betrayed him. I will say, though, the last few minutes of the final episode did seem a bit rushed; however, the overall experience of the series completely outweighs the ending. The production did seem well and not like it had a low budget at all. And we cannot forget to talk about the OST "Closer"? IT'S SO GOOD. I've already replayed it multiple times, and it's on my playlist currently, where it's going to stay. I will for sure be recommending this to anyone looking to get into BL because it's a perfect balance and blend of the plot and the BL aspect. Amazing! Was this review helpful to you?

So much to say, but enjoyed it!
SPOILERS! I absolutely loved this BL, but I understand why some people did not. However, it may be because I overlooked some things, but I genuinely enjoyed watching every second of this. Yes, some parts confused me and made me question, but to me, it wasn't a big deal. I believed this show got a lot more heat because it came out after Kinnporsche, which, if you've seen it, was a lot more mature. But overall, it doesn't deserve all the hate it has to me. It's a typical Thai BL, which usually is more on the cheesy side.To me, the whole cast did not disappoint either. I was surprised to see Yoon, who plays Kamol, acting as a mafia boss because of his baby face. But honestly, he nailed it so well, I was shocked by how well the role fit him. Then Ton, who plays Kim, is heartbroken through the majority of the show because of his past one-sided love, but slowly heals because of Kamol? I loved it so much. I could see how upset he was, especially seeing Day with Itt. It made me laugh when Kim kept standing up to Kamol and everything, though he is a mafia boss. Their NC, BDSM scenes were more on the effy side, not too realistic but not too terrible or unbearable to watch. Which is why I believe people are hating on it because of the similar but better-made scenes in Kinnporsche. I generally did not care about it, though. The only thing I will say I did not like about their relationship was the way Kamol pushed Kim away when he found out about his and Day's past together. I found myself mad and upset with Kim about Kamol because it was hypocritical of him when he told Kim he did not have to share details about his past relationship because it did not matter to him. Then had the nerve to push him away once he found out. I believe Kim forgave him too quickly and easily. Like sir? No.
Moving on to Khom's and Baiboon's unique relationship. I'm not going to lie here, I wanted them to get together. I could see the chemistry there, but neither wanted to push into that uncharted territory. Even everyone else could see that they both wanted each other. But I can also understand why they did not get together. Khom is Kamol's bodyguard and is constantly being put into potentially dangerous situations. You never know what will happen. Also, Baiboon is much younger than him, so there's another layer to it. I believe he wants Baiboon to get out there and grow up, see other people, and generally live his younger days out without feeling tied down later in life because he never could see other options. Baiboon is young, bright, and sweet, but he isn't naive or stupid. He cares for Khom, and he can see past his lies. In the scene where Khom came out of the shower and was only wearing a towel around his waist because he thought Baiboon had gone out somewhere, he saw the bruise on Khom's back and questioned him. Khom lied to try to make him feel better and to also shield him, Baiboon saw right through it and heard the commotion the night before. He did not like being lied to. In that scene, the way they both were looking at each other, you can see the longing and restraint Khom had at that moment; he couldn't look Baiboon in the eyes. There are so many moments when it was just the two, the looks in their eyes do not lie. Their whole dynamic genuinely makes me happy. I just wish we could have had more of their relationship played out. I can understand why the directors and writers did not play or delve further into it because of the age gap and not wanting to deal with complaints, but I will still dream about it.
Next, the threesome between the other three bodyguards: Lop, Kit, and Ruj? Hello? I did not expect it at all, but I'm not disappointed. Absolutely loved every second of that shower scene. I don't quite have much to say about them individually, except that I loved it when Lop was in the middle of Kamol and Kim's love affairs 🤣
There's so much more for me to say, such as how Cherry's attitude and actions change towards Kim and Kamol were so sudden and fast paced. Or how the comedic relief we always got with Kim's assistants, Jin and Metawee. There's so much I can talk about in this review, but I'll end it here. Overall, I generally enjoyed it and would recommend it if you like typical cliche Thai BLs.
