yeah probably fu ling will confess when she is dying already š„²
Someone said on this comment thread that Bai Xi will probably want Bai Shou to remember Bai Xi as the gentle and loving sister and not the evil Fu Ling who killed their father and continuously try to hurt Bai Shou. I think maybe she will die protecting Bai Shou in a way and not succumb to the poison even if it is killing her.
Waste of time. Don't bother. I'm already at episode 24 and there's no point in watching this. I'm not going to…
How can anyone rate this drama a 1/10 and still watch up to episode 24? If it was really that bad, wouldnāt you have dropped it way earlier? A 1/10 would mean thereās nothing redeemable about it, but honestly, this drama has so much going for it.
The characters, for one, are far from one-dimensional. The FL is incredibly strong and resilient, and her journey shows how she rises above everything thrown her way. Yeah, her forgiving nature might not be for everyone, but it shows a level of depth and maturity thatās hard not to respect. The ML might not be the typical romantic lead, savior of the day, knight in shining armor all the time, but he clearly admires her independence and strength. Their dynamic is subtle and layeredāitās not some over-the-top romance, but it feels real. Thatās what makes it stand out for me.
Then thereās the way this drama handles difficult themes, like Sheng Yiās struggles with abuse and insecurity. Sure, her decisions can be frustrating, but theyāre a reflection of her reality. Itās messy, and thatās the pointāitās showing how hard it is to break free from a cycle like that. The drama doesnāt sugarcoat things, and that makes it more relatable.
The pacing might be slower than some people like, but it mirrors the real challenges of rebuilding a lifeāitās not supposed to be easy or quick.
A 1/10 just feels overly harsh. Clearly, you stuck around for a reason, so thereās something about the show that kept you watching. Itās okay if itās not your favorite, but it definitely doesnāt deserve to be written off like that!
I really loved the trajectory of Mu Dan and Sheng Yi's relationship; how their upbringings defined their characters,…
Youāve summed it up so well! Mu Dan and Sheng Yiās relationship is such an interesting contrast. Mu Danās strength comes from knowing her worth and having the skills her mother taught her, while Sheng Yiās lack of self-worth and constant need for validation make her story so heartbreaking. Her betrayal wasnāt malicious; it was more about her not knowing who she is without someone else defining her.
I also love how the show respects that women can want different things. Both Mudan and Shengy's wants are valid, but their inability to understand each other makes it clear their paths canāt align anymore. Itās sad but feels like the right move for their story. I donāt love or hate Sheng Yi either, but I do feel so sorry for herāsheās such a tragic, layered character.
I think he started falling for her from the day they met in the temple. At first I think he was intrigued by her.…
I totally agree with you! JCY was definitely intrigued by Mudan when they first met in the temple, but over time, you can tell he kept falling harder and harder for her. Itās not just that sheās beautifulāitās her strength and resilience that really got to him. Every time he saw her pushing through everything sheās been through, his feelings just seemed to grow deeper.
And with Mudan, at first, she was just grateful for his help, and there wasnāt really anything romantic there. But you can totally see the shift happenālike when he became her creditor and kept showing up, especially for those late-night snacks. Those little moments started to mean so much, and you can see it in her eyes that she started seeing him differently. Itās so sweet watching her walls come down little by little. Letr's see who becomes a dog first LOL
After today's episode, don't tell me Shengyi is going back to that of a bastard husband Wang Qin. That man is never going to change even after being humiliated like that by our Mudan. I am feeling as frustrated as Mudan is. I really can't defend Shengyi anymore. Like, you made the mistake of going back to him once and see that he isn't going to change- you have a choice now, please, girl, LEAVE HIM!
First drama that I watch where ML is never there when FL is in trouble like???? It kinda pisses me off a lot,…
I agree! I get frustrated too, when the ML isnāt there to help, especially when the FL is in a dire situation. Sometimes I just want that 'knight in shining armor' moment, and honestly, it would be nice to see her get that more often than she does.
But, I think the story is trying to show how capable the FL is. From the start, weāve seen her handle tough situations on her own. Sheās smart and strong enough to turn things around without always needing someone to save her, which I think is pretty refreshing.
Also, the ML has other priorities right now. Itās clear that his focus is on his bigger plans, which is why heās not always around for her. That doesnāt mean he doesnāt careāitās just that saving her isnāt his main focus. But I have a feeling weāll see them working together more- can't get enough of their antics, putting on acts. As their problems start to overlap (like how in today's episode, MD is going after the same people as JCY), I think theyāll realize theyāre better off working as a team.
Ji Yun and Eun Ho gives me butterflies but I have second lead syndrome. I really like Su Hyeon. Also visually her and Eun Ho looks good together too š¤¦āāļø
Apart from Sa Ding Ding's ost in here, Bu Cai's "Under the moon" is also really good. It really is so sentimental and carries a sense of yearning and longing š
Y'all are being too much in the comments about Sheng Yiš It feels as if you aren't even watching the drama…
I also don't understand the hate towards Sheng Yi either. My feelings toward her were mostly pity because she was stuck in a deeply abusive relationship with a man who would beat the shit out of her for even minor defiance. She's hurt and broken, and that kind of trauma doesnāt just vanish simply because she met Mudan, who offers her warmth, love, and care. Sheng Yi definitely has a lot of growing to do, but what really prevents her from becoming the person we want to see her to be is Wang Qing's constant reappearance and manipulation.
To us, it might feel like she's betraying Mudan or setting her back by going back to Wang Qing, but from her perspective, those years of abuse left scars that never fully healed, making it easier for her to fall back into old patterns. Sheās incredibly realistic in this way because, sadly, women like her exist in the real world today. Itās heartbreaking, but also a reminder of the complexity of trauma and how it really affects someoneās actions. Al in all, I really do hope that Sheng Yi does eventually learn and grow and realize that Wang Qing is a pice of shit
Aren't they overusing the ost? š It's everywhere, every significant to insignificant character gets that song…
Lol. Agreed. atp in the drama, wouldn't there be another ost at the same level of emotion as it is for SDD to be used. Either way, I love SDD ost so I can't really complain anyway.
Honestly, I get itāFu Ling is evil. Sheās done so many horrible, unforgivable things that redemption feels impossible. But now that itās confirmed sheās actually Bai Xi, it makes you wonderāwhat really happened to her? And yeah, she can be so annoying sometimes, always pulling these sinister moves and causing chaos left and right. But even with all of that, I just canāt bring myself to hate her. Instead, I feel this weird sense of pity for her. If sheās been manipulated by the "Eternal" or is it that she is surrounded by all these terrible people whoād kill her at the first sign of weakness, it makes you wonder if sheās just been living in constant fear. She's probably going to have a redemptionābut not a full āIām good nowā moment, but maybe a tragic one, like sacrificing herself to make up for everything. Itās sad, but at this point it is the only way her story can end.
You know whoās really getting annoying now? Chong Zhao. Heās so convinced heās this righteous savior, always acting like heās doing the noble thing by being a double agent. And letās not forget how he keeps acting like heās the only good thing in Bai Shouās life, as if she canāt make her own decisions or find strength without him. At least Fu Ling knows sheās evil and doesnāt hide behind a facade. But with Chong Zhao, everything feels fake, like heās projecting this image of being the āgood guyā while ignoring the consequences of his actions.
I really need Chong Zhao to take a hard look at himself and realize heās not as righteous as he thinks he is. And that not everyhting is black and white. He needs to stop thinking heās above everyone else and start considering other peopleās feelingsāespecially Bai Shouās. Like boy c'mon, I am trying to like you lol
