i can understanding complaining about legit problems this show has, like the shots that linger to long, the subpar filming in certain scenes ect. but people complaining about having a lot of cooking scenes, lack of winteam, a slow pace, they arent' issues with the show it's just your preference, food and desserts are integral to pharms character and have an important place in the show, getting any winteam at all is already more then what happens in the novel try being grateful for that, and the novel is a slow burn story even if it isn't very long its all lead up to the last few chapters just like the show is doing. if you don't like watching it either stop and save yourself the time or at least stop commenting after every. single. episode about the same thing its a waste of everyone's time.
honestly i could care less about tin and can, i didn't really like either of them in LBC1 and i thought their relationship was kind of dumb, i am however really excited to see more of kengkla and techno however horrible the things kla has and will do i still love their dysfunctional relationship and hope it gets a lot more screen time this season

i personally don't get it there are and will always be a lot of very sweet and mild BLs (which i love) i think it's foolish to tone down ones based on heavier materials or complain about them it;s a simple matter of don't like don't watch. Pharm is is very shy and a bit awkward in the novel but he isn't so scared? if thats the right term of skinship like the series, the bedroom scene at deans house and the kitchen scene this episode where both a lot heavier in the novel. but really it's a small complaint i love this show a lot.
p'new didn't seem to have any issues directing sexually heavy scenes in LBC even with a underage actor, so i can't help but wonder why he's taken UWMA in such a toned down direction, the novel isn't even that explicit but it kind of feels like he's neutered the characters especially Pharm.
my only issue with this show is i feel that they made Pharm too shy, he is shy and easily embarrassed and a bit awkward in the book but he never really has any issues getting physical with P'Dean, the show though makes it seem almost like he's scared to get a simple kiss which i don't really understand. but i mean it's a small complaint i love the show regardless.
i feel really bad for Chun Chih that ending did him so dirty, he spent all that time and effort and energy being amazing and acting his ass off and then they just cut him out completely from the final episode except like 4 minutes as a weird doppelganger, he deserved better.
HIstory is supposed to be my escape from tragic BLs wtf is this shit? killing of the main character is bad enough but it's especially bad considering what a terrible and tragic life Yu Xi Gu already had, he gets what like a few months of happiness before some pointless accident happens? thats just cruel and sends a terrible message. not only that but the entire ending seemed so lazy, don't get me wrong waynes acting is incredible but nothing is explained it's just crying cut with weird out of place happy couple sunbo and zhi gang scenes. as a queer man this entire ending was just a spit in the face to the thought that young gay couples can get and deserve a happy ending, MOCD would have been my favourite history but that ending has taken it off the list. honestly f***k the writer.
judging from most these comments i seem to be one of the only people who is actually really enjoying the pace of UWMA i couldn't be happier that they are following the book so closely and honestly one of my biggest issues with thai BLs is that they try to cram to many couples in one show and end up not developing any of them well, i'm watching this show for dean/pharm as much as i love win and team i'd prefer they have their own series.
don't kill me for this as its just my opinion but i really think newwie needs to stop being caste in BL roles, or he needs to get over whatever issue he has with acting against another man because he always looks super uncomfortable, not just DBK but kiss me again, waterboyy, he just seems so awkward.
can i just say as a small guy i felt so sorry for YXG during the kiss scene having someone that much bigger on your lap is so uncomfortable haha i kind of found it more comical then hot because of the awkward angle XD
i'm so so happy yu xi gu didn't just give up after XHTs parents found them, i'm proud of him for fighting for his happiness its sadly way to rare in BLs, i'v never wanted a soft sappy happy ending more then i do for YXG and XHT.
i'm really enjoying sun and morks relationship i think they have a very subtle but real chemistry that makes it feel more natural to watch . i'm skipping most of kao/pete because it feels like the exact same thing every week, i understand why he doesn't want to come out to his mum but kao has literally no reason to not tell his friends about his and petes relationship all of them would accept it fine so it just comes across like he wants to stay hidden forever because he's a coward.
the first episode was perfect it really was like seeing the novel come to life, i think UWMA honestly has the best casting of a BL series i'v ever seen and i am so so SO happy to see fluke acting again he is such a sweet heart and his smile makes my day 100 times better.
