Honesty I don't think she's growing slowly. She has progressed so much in such a short time and I know from experience…
I share your same sentiment in wanting Kang Mi Rae to be happy. She really deserves the best and I wish the people around her would see her worth as well. And as you said, she needs to stop caring so much about what others think about her. It's destroying her potential happiness. But of course, this will take time. In k-drama land, 16 episodes worth of time. But with only 4 episodes left after today's 12th episode, I'm sure we'll start to see Mi Rae's situation turn around and her happiness come into full bloom.

I absolutely love how you phrased that, I've been trying to get that pint across myself but couldn't articulate…
I totally agree. Ep 11 was a bittersweet ep to watch. Seeing Mi Rae's insecurities get the better of her, causing her to push Kyung Seok away bc she believes she's not enough, really pulled at my heartstrings. I absolutely loathe Soo Ah. I was so mad at her during the rooftop scene when she said those things to Mi Rae. Like you said, those words hurt Mi Rae deeply. They just enforced what she already thinks about herself and her relationship with Kyung Seok.

Totally with you on this! I love that the show is taking the time to believably untangle her insecurities and…
Yes, exactly! I'm glad we're getting to see her grow as a person and become more confident. I really like how the writers wrote her character in the sense that she's not dependent on a boy "fixing" her. Before she can start to love someone else, she has to start loving herself. And I think this is such an important message we need to hear and see more of. And hopefully in the next couple of episodes, we'll get some cutesy couple moments, that Mi Rae and Kyung Seok deserve, lol.

I'm so in love with Woo Jin and Seo Ri's relationship. It's like a big swirl of cotton candy that instantly brings excitement and joy to your heart when you see it. Can't wait to see more of it in the upcoming episodes!

I don't know why people are hating on Mi Rae when she's such a refreshing character. I for one, like that she's so relatable and flawed. Yes, she can be too naive, too fearful, and insecure, but I understand where she's coming from. She's been bullied, harassed, and outcasted her whole life. That's not something that can be easily overcomed. The wounds that are inflicted on us as children are the hardest to heal. A lot of the time, they are what shape us into who we are. And we can see that Mi Rae's adolescence has had a huge impact on her. Enough to make her undergo plastic surgery, almost commit suicide, and have a distorted view of herself that causes her to have a hard time accepting love. None of this is easy to "get over." That's why I like seeing her journey unfold on-screen in such a realistic way. It's believable that's she's insecure, always questioning whether she's enough, afraid of what others think about her, and doubting that she can ever be liked back, if she's even deserving of it. It takes time to grow out of this mindset, but Mi Rae is slowly doing it, little by little. She's realizing that her mindset is like everyone else's; obsessed with appearances. That she's been too naive and trusting towards the wrong people. And that she has a right, as much as anyone else to love who she wants to love. That you don't have to be "beautiful" in order to love and be loved in return. I just really appreciate and sympthaize with Kang Mi Rae and love seeing her grow--even if it's just a little bit--with each episode that airs.

First off, I love all your picks! I've read of these books except for one. And I think they would all be excellent made into a Korean drama. As for what books I'd love to see made into KD's , that's a tough one. I've read so many amazing books. But if I had to pick a top 5, I'd say they'd be The Hating Game by Sally Thorne, The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski, The Diviners by Libba Bray, Confessions of an Angry Girl by Louise Rozett, and Making Faces by Amy Harmon. To me, they have themes and tropes that are common in K-dramas and they are overall just amazing books.

Okay, this drama is HILARIOUS. I was up until 2AM watching this drama with tears streaming down my face and my sides hurting from the amount of laughter I was doing. If you watch for anything, watch for the comic relief.

I'm super blown away by this drama so far. The acting is top-tier, the story itself is intense and enticing, and the relationship between the two main leads is already angst-y and heartbreaking af. As someone who, for some reason loves angst and tragedy in stories, this show is like kryptonite for me. I can't wait to see how this drama will unfold and the tremendous amount of angst that awaits us.

Title Are You Human? Spoiler
Oh, man where does one even start? Ep 12 [23, 24] is killer. Everything about it is enthralling, heart-rending, profound, and at some parts, even funny! This ep is one of my favorites so far. Its got everything!

First off, I love that So Bong came to terms with her ever-growing feelings for Shin3. She's accepted that she likes him, no matter what he is and she'll do everything in her power to protect him. Her confession to him in the hospital was one of the best confession scenes I've seen in a K-drama. It's so sweet, genuine, and unbelievably soft. And the way she explained to Shin3 that she wasn't expecting anything in return, that she just wants to love him, even if it's by herself, almost did me in. SOOOO GOOD.

Next, Nam Shin. Oh, boy. Is he a piece of work. He's only been awake for an ep and I already want him to go back go sleep. I've tried understanding him--and there's been moments of pity and sympathy--but they've been fleeting. I get why he behaves in the manner that he does, but I don't condone it. Hurt people hurt people. I get that. He's been deeply hurt but that's no excuse to be so cruel. He's become someone that hurts and tears others down bc he can. And those are the worst and most miserable kind people. I hope we can see some character development within the next 6 eps, otherwise, I have a feeling Nam Shin will cause harm to our precious puppy-bot. And I will not accept such a thing.

Also, the scene with Reporter Jo had me on the floor. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to shoot that scene from such an angle is a closeted Seo Kang Joon fan. We all know whoever was responsible for the camera was having the day of their lives. The whole freaking scene was hilarious and I'm still cracking up about it. It's nice they put some comic relief admist all the drama and intensity.

Lastly, THAT DANG CLIFFHANGER. Lord, when Shin3 walked into the room all heroic like with the "killer" look in his eye and snatched So Bong's arm away from Nam Shin and said all dramatic like "is this what you call jealousy?" I about fell out. Our puppy-bot is growing so much and I couldn't he prouder. And now I seriously can't wait until next week. I NEED to know what happens next.

In that moment, Reporter Jo was all of us.

I dont mind his pineapple hair but I absolutely hate Lei's ugly mop. Someone that handsome needs better hair.
I agree with you. Although Lei's hair doesn't bother me as much as Si's does, it definitely isn't a good look on him. Like you said, he's too attractive for his Shaggy like hairstyle. MG has a great cast of handsome looking men, but questionable hairstyles, lol.

Listen, this drama is great and all but Daoming Si's hair is killing me. He honestly does look like a pineapple head and with every ep I watch I just want to reach through my screen and undo whatever he's got going on on-top of his head.

This is an exceptionally well done drama! I would definitely recommend this to k-drama lovers all around. I'm sad to see this drama come to an end but I'm also satisfied by how everything has been wrapped up. AMAZING STUFF YOU GUYS.
