It's boring to me! My opinion is not a reflection on you or your interests. I'm not trying to convince anyone that this is a terrible drama and they should hate it, because it's not and I don't.. it's just not interesting to me after investing 12+ hours watching it. I replied to OP's comment and shared that I dropped it and suddenly I'm a bitter Esther fan lol.

Do I have to change my picture for my comments to be valid or? Being an Esther fan doesn't mean anything? I'm a fan of many chinese actors and actresses. I'll still say a drama is boring if it's boring. Her drama's Moonlight and Sword and Fairy were boring, I dropped both and commented as such on the drama pages too.

What has being an Esther fan got to do with anything? I'm also a SWL and ZJM fan too which is why I started this in the first place. Yes, I dropped it at episode 14 which I had just finished watching when I commented. Weirdo.

yes of course. zhao was hesitant as not to burden her at first, but jiang mu was persistent in her love for him and they had a beautiful ending <3

i hope the source on rednote was wrong and they do the amputation. it just made so much sense and was such a good storyline!

I'm sure they did. I just think the original source material was perfect and don't know why they have to change it.

in the novel, jin zhao has to get his leg amputated after the racing accident. he's uncontactable for days after the accident because of this, and is like the main reason he separates from jiang mu. when they reunite, jiang mu wants to go hiking which he agrees to. he struggles because of his amputation, and that's when jiang mu finds out about his leg. the remainder of the story is her learning about his condition, finding ways to help him (getting her license to drive him around) etc.

i guess they will use her mum's condition, and perhaps her parents not agreeing to them being together for the reason they part ways after the race but the amputation was THE reason in the novel.

I just saw on xiaohongshu that apparently the director said they wouldn't be adding in Jin Zhao's amputation????? I just feel like that was such an integral part of the story that it doesn't make sense not to include it??? that was like the main tension after their reunion??? arghhhh
