No, I can't remember what happened exactly that day but I meant that she'll kiss him because he lied and told her that she did the night before

He'll start to show up from next ep ig, up till ep 14-15 if no changes are made to the og timeline

So there's 89 ch in the novel - 32 ep in the drama. I did some calculations and based on my notice, currently we're at ch 30 - ep 8.. which make the progress 3.75 chs each ep.. that make it 24 ep enough to cover everything that happened in the novel..

I'm kinda nervous what kind of scenes they'll be adding..

tbh it's a bit slow, the délicieux slow, currently it's still building up, we're getting to know the characters and their hidden thoughts and feelings, they're pretty complicated and well written..
yet at the same time we're moving with their relationship in a very natural way.. watching it, I find myself tear up at least 3 times per ep :) the emotions delivered by the cinematography and acting are felt so well..

So, imo, it's only getting better

in the novel he's an actor who starred in an horror movie Sang Yan and Wen Yifan watched together in hs, at the same time he's a college student who will intern in Yifan's company for a month, and he has a little crush on her -harmless cute crush-

we're on the same page then, I do the same I look for spoilers first then I watch if it's "cringe-free" and worth the time.
In the first frost the leads are very mature, the fl did the ml kinda dirty in their past (completly justified, she was a mess back than she couldn't think straight) so she decided to be bold and pursue him, and it won't take more than two-three episodes tbh, he'll give in and they'll start dating officialy short after.

I can garantee you, this one will have the happiest ending, and their relationship will be so mature and beautiful, but at least the novel is like this, let's just wait and hope they won't add any unnecessary things

Nahh that will never happen ✋🏻 he's already deeply in love with and she's dedicated, there will never be any other man/woman for any reason, what I will say next is kinda big spoiler so beware since you seem to not starting the drama yet (she don't trust man except him, she only feels completly safe around him)

But yeah, he's the jealous type so when he sees her planning to go out with a friend he'll tag along with the excuse of "you're going to my bar anyway" but it's not that cliché jealousy type, and if you decided to not watch this masterpiece because of it it'll be such a pity since the drama is much more than this

She never really spent time with this friend anyway, she's distant from him and whenever he contacts her she replies briefly and formally

They weren't together, but several things happened to her leading her to break a promise and saying harsh things to him (already shown in early eps)
yes Wen Yifan will be the one to chase him and she will do it boldly.
her life and emotions are complicated, so she never dated or had any other love interest other than him, for Sang Yan, he never stopped loving her, not even when they were 'seperated'
there's a guy who have one-sided love with her (this matter is solved already in ep8), and another who we can consider him an admirer.

So I was re-reading the novel and I realised something about Wen Yifan sleepwalking..

The first time, when meeting her aunt triggered her trauma, she hugged him to feel safe.
The second time, he lied to her accusing her of kissing him, so she did (her love for him surfaced that day)
The third time, she felt so guilty about breaking his heart back in hs, so she went to his room and slept by his side..

And I noticed everytime she sleepwalk she sit on the couch then walk to his room, stand there staring at his door, before she goes back to his room..

We know the reason behind her sleepwalking, but her actions while it are controlled by her feelings, and she feels the most about Sang Yan..

Oh how it hurts..

Yifan is so strong and brave, I've never seen a broken character like her yet know how to stand up for herself and live on despite everything..

But everytime she opens up to someone they turn their backs to her, clearly she's scared, she needs some more time to shut her demons telling her he'll betray her too..

Imagine being almost r**ed twice, SAed several times since young -and it never stopped- with no one trusting you , no one siding with you, everyone blaming you yet people expect your story to be sunshines and rainbows.. poor Wen Yifan..

And honestly shame on Sang Yan for never leaving her side and not giving up on her, why would anyone try to bring some ray of light into her miserable life?
You ain't the sun she's dreaming of man...

And yeah those talentless screenwriters, we don't need to see how they were back in highschool, we don't need to know how much he loved her and how much she was happy with him, we don't need to know Wen Yifan who was innocent and dreamer, we don't even care about how she turned into this gloomy lady.. just give us the romance and the kisses..

because Sang Yan in 'hidden love' isn't Sang Yan in 'the first frost', the bright and brotherly side of him was perfectly captured by the actor in HL, so the deep and complicated side of him is perfectly captured by Bai Jin Ting.

miss ZHANG RUO NAN? why is she literally Wen Yifan walking on earth?? She's not acting she's living the character BY ALL MEANS !!
I can't help but cry everytime I see her alone, dragging her feet through life, she's so strong for not giving up, she's so mentaly strong and emotionly weak at the same time, idk..
I hope things will get better soon for Wen Yifan, and Sang Yan will help her fly again, as the beautiful and carefree butterfly she used to be..
