I just loved the Ep20 so much. Out of all, this is the best episode aired so far. Tang Lici and Xiao Shi smiling at each other, and Tang Lici seeing his past self in Xiao Shi.., it was so pure and sincere scene and instantly touched my heart🥺 I literally looped their scene, really cannot wait to see Tang Lici teaching three characters classic to Xiao Shi in the same way Fang Zhou taught him.

That being aside, I am just so in love with Tang Lici and I can feel that the screenwriter really loves him so much and endowed him with all the best qualities. He can just stand there and everyone in the world would fall in love with him.

Can you stop mentioning Fang Zhou and Gui Mudan in a same sentence? It brings me trauma.

No, this character has always been a female.

My simple answer to all that is the screenwriter failed A Shui. This character is supposed to have some strong inner conflicts all the time but we are seeing nothing at all. It’s a very bland role, and she disappeares after a certain episode. No wonder Li Yi Tong turned down this role. And I wouldn’t have liked this character if she were a man.
