And let us be real, does the drama not having any romance or lovelines make it any less valuable? Why does everything need to have romance in it? Dramas without romance or lovelines do exist and Shui Long Yin is one of them.
The book and the drama are the two separate works and should be looked upon as such. It is okay for an adaptation to be different, to not be faithful to the original source, it is quite common in c-ent.
