Simple yet Charming

This was a really easy watch. I liked that the FL wasn't ashamed of wanting a glow up, and desiring to find a man to marry that would essentially elevate her to a higher class socially and economically. While most people would consider her a gold digger, the FL never portrayed herself that way. If women were not supposed to use their good looks to appease to men, then they wouldn't have been born that way, and the FL recognizes that and automatically blushes at the thought of falling head over heels in love with someone. Usually when I watch a drama, I don't really care what happens to the FL, but for the FL in this drama, I was definitely rooting for her. She deserved all the happiness that she was seeking. The theme of this drama was "Follow you Joy", and I think that she really did prove that she has what it takes to do that and much more. I especially liked the FL because usually in dramas the FL is shy and naive, almost to a default. In this drama, she is flirty and openly loves the attention she gets from love interests, which was very refreshing to see. Drama was charming, ending was rushed, but still quaint and quite nice. Baymax, I am satisfied with my service.

This drama was so disappointing

this was so disappointing….i really wanted to like this, like staying up till 3am, that’s how badly I wanted to like this, but once again it tells a story that everybody’s familiar with– ML is rich, FL is poor, ML abuses the FL, realizes he has a conscience, falls in love with her, apologizes, goes back to abusing her, and the cycle never fucking ends. idk why dramas like romanticizing abuse like this, but it’s disgusting and disgraceful. FL really deserved better then this, and I don’t have the patience for a show so predictable.

just so beautiful s every way posssible

ok, I definitely wasn’t expecting this. I usually don’t watch romance dramas, because the FLs are always immature, but this drama is definitely what dreams are made of.
I loved that it not only focuses on the main couple, but also their drive and commitment to Kyudo, and how it brings them closer. I thought that both leads were mature, as well as very passionate. I loved watching this. this drama is definitely a hidden Gem with subtle cute moments that give me hope in real love. definitely underrated, though maybe it’s for the best if Goblin is the standard, when it really shouldn’t be. Make a Bow and Kiss should 100% be the standard. I would rewatch this, and majority of the dramas I’ve seen, I would never rewatch.
This drama is sublime💜

Short & Sweet

this was pleasant, like pancakes someone makes for you at a sleepover: different, sweet, and sentimental. It was short and very cool, I liked this drama a lot.I wished we had gotten more scenes with the FL and the werewolf, those were always so funny and clever, and I was waiting for them to get together, cause that was the only ship that made sense. Werewolf is very handsome. I wish this drama had a second season, so I could’ve seen how everything played out more. with this drama, there’s a lot left to the imagination .💜💙💜

Intentional Nudge in the Right Direction

For all intensive purposes, I was rather impressed with this movie. It had been sitting in my To Watch list for at least 2-3 years. I might have watched the beginning of the movie in the past, but just never committed to finishing it. Finally sat down and watched the whole thing.
It took a very poetic approach, which I wasn't expecting. Even though this is about a director that wrote a play about two men that have a romantic relationship with each other, the movie doesn't go in depth about it, but it should of, because the play talks about very important issues, like what its like being in a toxic relationship, and how the dynamic of the two actors shifts drastically because of the nature of the play. Its also about having such a strong hold on someone, like your chained to them, and you can't escape, and that is what made this movie so suspenseful to watch.
Something that also impressed me was how the older ML takes method acting very literally, and how that is reflected off stage. I could almost sense what Jae Ha was feeling in the moments when he was alone and there were no cameras, and in that way, this movie shed a light on societal pressures on how men are expected to behave and conduct themselves. A part of me wanted to believe that he wanted to be the person he was suppressing, but in a unique, unexpected way, he was just always in character.
If anything, I wish it could've been longer, and had more to say. It was a very light watch.

This could be timeless, give it some time...

This was a very refreshing watch. People keep commenting on all the cliches, but everything flowed very cohesively, and made me want to keep coming back to find out what happens next. What I appreciated the most was how everything in this show was thought through, even to the smallest detail. Yes, it can get a bit predictable at times, and that's what I liked about it. I loved the friendships, the character development, the intro music(i love the intro music so much, it sounds pleasant, upbeat, and sets the tone for the series), and the characters very much. If someone made a list of dramas to watch in the Spring, this drama should definitely be on that list. It was delightful to watch all the quirkiness of the FLs as well as the MLs, and watching it all come together in the end. I would definitely rewatch this. 미결제의

if you cant fall asleep at night

…this drama is the perfect remedy. I seriously tried to take this drama seriously, but it’s literally so boring. the leads have no chemistry. the ML is obsessed with himself, actually believes there’s no one good enough for him, and gets off on that! his narcissism is on another level, and it’s so pathetic watching. also, why is a grown man embarrassing the FL for fun in front of her superiors? it’s so childish, not cute or endearing in the slightest, and I’m over it. I’m dropping this after 5eps. I know that I should've taken more time to watch and let the leads get closer, but even a blind person can tell when somethings stupid. i'm tired, and this drama isn't anything special.

The Stars Have Spoken, Falling All Around Us

This drama was such a rush!! And so brilliant! The actors really made this a work of art! There’s your average run-of-the-mill dramas, then there’s THIS, and I was not disappointed! This drama had cohesion and consistency in this well-composed story of love, betrayal, and manipulation.

This drama focuses on Da-On, who works for the Strategy Dept of a large company in Korea. For the past 11 years, he’s held long-time romantic feelings for Jaemin, who’s been his friend and colleague since their days in University. He’s made multiple attempts to profess his feelings to Jaemin, much to no avail for the fear of rejection outweighs the urge to come clean with his desire to be with him.

Seong Hyeon is a new colleague that just joined Da On’s dept. Hyeon has just arrived the scene, and he is already very curious about who Da On really is. Even though he’s in the dark at the start, he starts developing a special interest in Da On, wondering what makes him tick, and doing his own homework on his new favorite subject…

Su Hyeon has known Da On for 7 years, and has been weaving himself in and out of Da On’s life over the years with his volatile and demanding attitude. But behind all that anger, he’s been hiding a secret that no one else knows about…

Throughout the series, it tells a vivid narrative of how the most unsuspecting individuals have the most to hide, and how easy one can be moved like a pawn with just the right twisted strategies. Friends are not always who they pretend to be, but you’re in so deep with them already, they’re like a snake ready to devour you.🐍

This drama was so immersive in the way these characters interact and flow with each other. The chemistry amongst these characters is so palpable its static that’s felt though the screen. The acting was so strong, it was inspiring and made this series that much more elevated. Also, i love the music in this series, greatly contributed to the drama.🎵

This would be the 2nd time I’ve watched a drama and it felt like an exclusive event that only a select few get to experience(the first time was Tempted). Watching characters be possessive with each other has never been so enticing nor as delicious as this…💜

A quote from the series:-
Love isn’t about levels, it’s about heart. As long as we have unwavering trust, and offering sincerity to each other, that’s all that matters for love.

P.S. the ending reminds me of the premise for the manga Boys Abyss iykyk🥲

This drama was such a Massive Let Down

in all honesty, i can't believe i gave up sleep for this drama, eagerly waiting for the characters to develop some sense eventually, but that never happened, and according to other reviews, it never will.

I thought that by watching this, I'd get a better understanding about marriage dynamics, and it would start an important discussion amongst viewers, but this drama was as shallow as a kiddie pool for people that don't even know how to swim. Can't emphasize my disappointment enough, its like this drama was created by a couple of woke college seniors, and after watching a couple trash tv shows, they all banded together to create a senior class project with the delusion that now they have life all figured out; too bad trash begets trash.
This show pretty much follows two main couples around: Michi and yo, and Kaede and Makoto. Michi & Makoto work at the same job, which is how they were able to develop a comradery outside the workplace. In the beginning, and all through watching, I supported their friendship, because who else can they talk to? so much potential in this budding friendship was lost, as i completely expected in depth conversations about marriage as a whole, but my expectations were too high for this drama.

I could tell how much Makoto craved connection, like a loyal dog that anxiously awaits his master's return. Not that Makoto is innocent in all this, but he was pushed towards it. He had been neglected for so many years, that in the one moment that he gets a chance to relieve himself of all the sadness(referring to the scene of Makoto and Michi at the spa), he can't help himself. Pushing someone out of their comfort zone and inadvertently almost cheating, almost justifies Kaede lecturing Michi later on.

Kaede was out of line when she lectured Michi at that cafe, and I could tell that she only got upset because as much as Michi confessed to her, she realized that she had caused the exact same pain to Makoto, and I could sense that she understood that in that chapter of their lives, Michi understood and saw the pain in Makoto when Kaede refused to see it herself. I get that Kaede is hurt, but also self-righteous and deprecating. No, its not right to kiss married men, but Kaede acted like she had been in a loving relationship this whole time, as if everything wrong in her life was Michi's fault. This was extremely hypocritical.

I think its completely understandable to seek someone to talk to when you're going through a hard time, & that's exactly what Michi did, so the fact that other viewers are bashing her is beyond me. This is an extremely serious matter, that deserved to be handled with delicacy and understanding, so I really wish Michi would stop confiding in her coworkers who would constantly give her bad advice, when really they just gave the impression that they enjoyed good gossip. This would irk me the most, because she would always take their advice like a sheep that can't think for herself, and yet, she really deserved better.
She especially deserved a life partner that was honest, caring, and loyal.

By far, yo was the most selfish character in this entire drama. He would constantly make up excuses so he wouldn't have to have any conversations with Michi that made him uncomfortable, because that would be inconvenient for him. He reminds me of a child that only starts to change his behaviour when someone points out to him that his behaviour is wrong. If there was ever an better representation of someone that shouldn't have gotten married, yo would be it, as the entire time, he is always thinking about himself, and only starts reconsidering how he treats Michi only after cheating on her.

My overall consensus is that this drama absolutely did Not need to be made. Every character in this show is shallow and self-serving(save for Michi), none of the characters have any redeemable qualities, and it was such an utter disappointment. I really really don't recommend this to anyone.

Cringefest full of fluff and McCafe coffee

The ML & FL are definitely very interesting to watch, and I quickly became invested to see how their story would unravel. Even the supporting cast does an amazing job, and their acting is very impressive. and while I’m enjoying this drama, I can’t ignore all the things that really make this just that—a drama.

If there was one constant amid the general chaos, it’s that the male lead, despite being a kind, honest, hardworking and all round upstanding guy, he always had a personal agenda with the FL. I understand the concept of not wasting an opportunity when it presents itself, but that’s definitely not what happened. Instead, he solidly plants himself in the middle of a situation that has nothing to do with him, confesses his feelings for someone going through emotional turmoil, and instead of giving
the FL her space, he continues to invade it until she eventually caves in. I don’t really understand the appeal of manipulating someone already so vulnerable, but maybe that’s why this drama is so popular I guess…

Why was this drama sponsored by McDonalds? I’m sorry to say, I'm just at a loss for words. seriously, they couldn’t get another sponsor? ANY other sponsor?

I think that along the way this drama gave me higher expectations, then just fizzled out while trying too hard. It felt like most episodes after episode 11 were over-dramatized commercials that I couldn't skip, and so I had to just sit there and wait for the episode to end. Sure, these kind of relationships do happen, but the main relationship in this drama was very forced, and so I could really never support it. The ML's sisters had more intriguing stories to tell. If you really want to watch this drama, watch it for that;skip everything else.

I'm not gonna say this wasn’t a good watch, because it was good, I’m just saying I’ve seen better. it’s not memorable, it’s not inspiring; I wouldn’t be surprised if I forget I’ve seen this. That's all.

Promising in its own way

So far, I really like how even though the assistant is queer, it’s not highlighted in the show, or taking anything away from the character, making his interest in the other character super casual, as opposed to other shows that act like they might be checking off ‘queer male lead’ on a checklist. I just started this show, and I’m super eager to see how this drama develops. It’s like a recipe; it has all the right ingredients, I’m just waiting to see if it turns out well. I think when you’re first interested in someone, you feel butterflies, and take things slow, and I hope to see something well-paced and realistic in this drama.

This Didn’t Need to Be Made

I really tried to stay hooked, because I was praying that the story was gonna go somewhere eventually, but it’s currently 8 minutes to 3a.m, and it’s still a mess. who’s idea was it to create a drama whereby every time the main leads interact with each other, they don’t know each others names, they don’t care to ask, then when they part ways, they reiterate that they never want to see each other again? this drama is so damn messy. the entire time I was watching this, it was as if the leads were feigning sincerity the whole time, so tired of watching it. Not to mention that the cultural respect aspect of this drama was improvised so much, it’s hard to believe this is a Kdrama. i wholeheartedly don’t believe it gets better after ep.4. this drama was a fail for me.
