this drama has some of the best cinematography ever. it's like a cheesy 90s horror movie but perfect. love it so far. wish it wasn't a half hour drama though.
the last episode legit kills the suspense and pace set by the first 5. you get no motivation for why she just…
ahhh i agree. it was just such an 'ending' that weirded me out. like, i know adopted children suffer through a lot of issues regarding their roots and parents but i figured she'd go back to her family as soon as she killed her real dad.
it just seems weird bc the same over protectiveness she had with mio is the same her mom had with her (the scene with shizuka telling mio to never open the door).
the last episode legit kills the suspense and pace set by the first 5. you get no motivation for why she just up and quit life (other for revenge on her dad). you get no motivation for kidnapping mio (other than trying to save her but honestly, had she just went to the cops, she probably would have been fine instead of being on the run). the time skip in the last ep was so rushed and poorly done. it's 15 years later and shizuka still looks the same? but mio is a grown woman?
i honestly think the last ep was so poorly done or ran out of budget bc it goes south right after the older lady dies.
For me this show lost all its steam in the last few episodes. It makes me sad because the first part was seriously…
AGREED! i kinda hated how this became more about enrique than dok mi by the end of the drama. also a girl who suffers from depression telling a guy that he's her world is kinda grim hahaha
this was good and full of cute moments that i enjoyed but i really hate how this drama became more about enrique than dok mi's problems. she doesn't even get to resolve the crap with her hs friend because enrique and his "problems" took over.
i really hate how both this drama and 'me too flower' preach that all your problems (be they depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, etc) can magically be solved by having a boyfriend when real life doesn't work that way.
FINALLY someone who agrees with me on to the beautiful you disaster! Hana Kimi (japanese one) is just SO good…
same here. the characters were so memorable in the japanese and taiwanese versions. the korean version could have improved on both and it was such a waste of talent.
great list. one issue i had with to the beautiful you is that they had an opportunity to improve on both older versions and blend the comedy from both japanese versions with the better storyline of the taiwnese version. it felt like a 16 hr commercial for SM entertainment. totally hollow.
