i don't get how this is so highly rated. i think this would have been better if they had left out the murder plot altogether and cut it to 12 episodes. there's so much going on between, the lovestory, the deal with the ex and his wife, the other murder, etc.
i still don't get why she did not tell her ex about the kid. there was nothing in his personality that would dictate that he was a dickhead or an unsuitable co-parent for her child. he actually seems like a reasonable guy? i feel she just took on motherhood alone to prove a point but like, to whom?
her husband is a child lmao. too many mothers baby their sons and too many fathers are also babies who don't want to parent. they end up with sons their wives have to finish raising. that is the most realistic portion of this drama lmao.
Too woke? Since when did Sexual assault trauma become too woke?? I guess you don't understand the meaning of woke.
every person who has ever been assaulted can tell you, that is 100% an accurate deception of someone who is an abuser. did you want a rapist in the bushes type of deal bc come on lmao.
a lot of people are upset over this drama but i think she actually needed to date the SML because falling in love…
i think the show intended that her break up with the ML at first would have her mature a bit but it still seemed rushed. i think after the first break up, show her dating around (not just the friendzoned guy) and actually maturing as an adult would have her realize what drew her to the FML in the first place. they get back together, later on, and have a stronger relationship bc they've both matured emotionally and that's a stronger footing for a relationship.
i think the script tried doing that through the SML and the talk of marriage, children and the pressures chinese women face to conform in that regard. they touched on it a bit through her friends (the pregnant one who stays with a cheating man and the one with no children who gets hassled about having children) but taking all of that external conflict all out is pointless and not an actual story. stories like this need conflict and drama in order to be interesting.
because the FML is very naive, the SML does seem enticing and the answer to all those pressures she's feeling at her age and the temptation to have an easy life and stay with a man that checks all the boxes is strong. the show did a good job of displaying that with the different types of relationships and problems actual 30 somethings have. and i think the show does a good job of making the SML very manipulative in a way that flies under the radar. that type of manipulation is why he excels at his job but it's also why he's single at 37. the fact that only one commenter has pointed it out is surprising to me.
the one bad thing about this drama is that professor brother bc song had the best advice for him in ep 30 to switch teaching elsewhere so he's not her professor. i think that whole relationship was rushed and it didn't seem he even liked her like that from the start.
either way don't listen to the disgruntled commenters. the cast is great. the acting was great. and while the story was a bit confusing, still worth a watch.
also i feel the negative comments are more weird, femcel/incel talk than anything because someone calling her a two timing slut because she was friends with another man? this is real life. not wattpad fanfiction lmao.
a lot of people are upset over this drama but i think she actually needed to date the SML because falling in love and being together with the first person you've ever dated with zero conflict isn't realistic and only is seen as realistic if you're an idealistic virgin with no life or relationship experience.
-Main couple love storyFL a beautiful stubborn woman, selfcentered with a weak character about love storiesML…
they needed the SML to show her why she appreciated the first ML?? if you take that whole conflict out, this isn't a drama, just very unrealistic and limited view of dating.
i think the main reason it doesn't have higher ranking is ML being a red flag
that is a shame because he's very good in this so far! very convincing too! like you almost fall for him. these people are confusing real life with his job, being an actor.
i think people are negatively rating this drama based on how they feel about the ML and don't know that a plot (positive and negative aspects) is actually needed for a story to move along?
i liked it and the cinematography was gorgeous. the twist at the end was great but i feel this was an episode too short. in the last episode we see that girl who started when kaimook started and we got like no backstory on her other than she was also abused by the master until she killed herself? i think they should have given us at least one more ep. also what happened with ariya? they said "you can start acting now" ms ariya?
Ratings mean nothing, if you enjoyed it thats all that matters.
"if you enjoyed it that's all that matters". ok but this is a website where many users leave ratings and recommendations on a site where we rate and recommend dramas. do you not want others to enjoy the dramas you also enjoyed? that's why we rate and recommend. that's how the social part of this site works.
