Someone explained it as he knew Patt would react like that. But what I don't understand is why Tai wanted to see Lomfon in the first place! If it was just the dinner he owed him, that would make sense, but then he accepted for the whole day! Every time I'd come up with something to excuse him, he'd throw something worse into the pot.

The only way that scenario might have made sense is if Tai had been in an abusive family or had a previous abusive boyfriend. He just shut down.

It was worse than I thought.

People are saying it all has to do with his trying to figure out his parent, but I think if that's what they're trying to portray, they aren't doing a very good job of it.

I wonder how they'll sort it? Ep 11 the mom's wedding somehow shows Tai something important and he apologizes to Phat (I hope). Ep 12 Lomfon and Thian work out their crap when Lomfon somehow realized he doesn't really have feelings for Tai.
Maybe someone figures out that the soulmate thing isn't necessarily romantic? What I don't get is why they don't have research or answers for this phenomenon.

It would have been better if he'd just told Phat the truth. Then again, didn't Tai imply he knew Phat would fly off the handle? Still, I don't feel they gave enough information for Tai's motivation. He doesn't even know at that point that Lomfon could be his soulmate, too. So why would he agree to spend a day with him? It almost seemed as though he were trying to help Lomfon work out his crush.

That's plausible, I guess. Thank you. I just couldn't imagine what he was thinking. I also wonder what it actually means to be a soulmate. I think what you said people believe is correct, but I think if someone asked me, a soulmate is someone you are destined to meet over and over again in many lives to help your soul to develop and you are not always in a romance. This storyline has cracks in it. Has anyone done any research on this? What if you're a straight 20 year-old woman and you can hear an 80 year-old woman talking when it rains?

Don't you think the shower should have come after the bath?

I was kind of wondering about that scene. Went to bed--got messy, took a shower--got messy, took a bath. Then what? I would think you'd take the shower after the bath because you're sitting in the bathwater, so you want to shower it off. Lol. I'm thinking too much. Maybe they just wanted to christen every part of Phat's apartment.

Is there anyone here who does not believe that Tai went out with Lomfon because Tai wanted to prove to himself that he didn't have feelings for Lomfon or that Lomfon was/wasn't a better fit for him than Phat? Why else would he go? I just don't get it. He knew Lomfon had a crush. He accepted an all day date rather than just dinner. He lied to his bf twice about it. He practically acted like they were on a date--I mean, he didn't even try to get Lomfon to tell him what he wanted to see him for. Just that he'd figure "it" out in time. Seems like he's talking about the crush. Why not lay it out for Lomfon? "Lomfon, I have a boyfriend and no feelings for you." The only reason I'm willing to let Tai off the hook for allowing the kiss is the shock that he could have two soulmates. If you don't believe the reason I gave, then please tell me what the hell Tai was thinking.

And didn't you feel that Tai kind of acted like he was on a date with Lomfon? It was almost creepy.

I've wondered if the father didn't do something to spur the divorce. In the beginning, the mom says something to the kids like, "You don't know both sides." That wasn't what she said, but something like that.

To answer your question, I would say yes. There must be because everything that made the episode turn out the way it did didn't even make any sense. Why accept a date from a guy you know has a crush on you? Tai seemed to be trying to help Lomfon figure out his feelings---he said something like that. "Give it time," or something. Why lie to your boyfriend not just once but twice? If I were Phat, I would have hung up and sent the picture, not gone running over there like a maniac. I don't even know how they can plausibly straighten all of this out at this point.

I feel the shock of the two soulmates thing only excuses Tai from letting Lomfon his him. Why did he go out with him? All I can think of is that he wanted to see if he liked Lomfon better, in which case he shouldn't have lied to Phat. I'm not excusing Phat's ballistic behavior, though.

And as soon as they reminded us with the flashback that Tai knew Lomfon liked him, I was even more confused and angry. What it appears is that Tai accepted a date with Lomfon (all day, not just the meal he owed him) knowing full well that Lomfon likes him. Why accept? The only reason I can come up with is that he wants to check to make sure he and Lomfon don't mesh better than he and Phat. Yet Tai tells Phat that Phat should know how much he loves him.

As soon as that flashback reminded me that Tai KNEW that Lomfon liked him, I was even more angry at stupid Tai. The only way this could have been any worse is if Tai knew that his brother liked Lomfon.
In my opinion, Lomfon is an idiot. Who falls in love with someone they only see for less than a minute just because they saved their life? Did Lomfon recognize Tai right off the bat? I can't remember.
