What it appears is that Tai accepted a date with Lomfon (all day, not just the meal he owed him) knowing full well that Lomfon likes him. Why accept? The only reason I can come up with is that he wants to check to make sure he and Lomfon don't mesh better than he and Phat. Yet Tai tells Phat that Phat should know how much he loves him.

In my opinion, Lomfon is an idiot. Who falls in love with someone they only see for less than a minute just because they saved their life? Did Lomfon recognize Tai right off the bat? I can't remember.

Right. Tai lied to him twice and then pretty much cheated on him. Then he expected Phat to be okay with it all. Why does Tai think Phat should be so certain of Tai's love for him? Tai needs to have to grovel to get Phat back.

I guess Tai has a problem with it because he has the soulmate "curse"? I'm just guessing-- Tai's motivation is completely unclear. So, maybe he grew up romanticizing his parents' bond and then was freaked when they split up and now feels like he's got a f'ed up gift or curse or whatever it is. Is this why he accepted Lomfon's invitation? That part just doesn't make any sense to me. Bad writing to have us all trying to piece things together, same as last episode. We're not watching a damn mystery. *grumble grumble*

Still unboxing this mess. Phat (Patt, whatever) seems to take the stance that he doesn't give a fig about the soulmate thing--that he loves Tai for who he is. He's said that more than once. I think Tai came to the same conclusion after he found out Phat is "the Kind One." (Lol.) Phat reinforced that when he told Lomfon that no matter what he can hear when it rains. Tai is Phat's boyfriend and Lomfon needs to stay away from him. Now, with the voices stopping all of a sudden, the universe seems to be saying that the soulmate thing doesn't matter. Nobody can hear anybody when it rains anymore. So, what are they left with?

I am disgusted with them both for different reasons. I don't think Phat's violence was a good excuse for Tai to bow out of giving a good explanation, though, or to give the sorry-ass answer that Phat should understand his silence, or whatever.

Right? I feel like there isn't even time to fix this. After seeing the previews for next week, I'm not even looking forward to it. I mean, does Tai learn something important at his mom's wedding? I feel so sorry for Patt, because Tai LIED and basically CHEATED, and even though Patt has a terrible temper, he doesn't deserve the cold way Tai's treated him!

What I learned from Episode 10.
Patt: Has a baaad temper. Possibly drives drunk. (Hopefully he took a taxi to Tai's.) Drives erratically when horny. Did I mention he has a bad temper? Because that was the biggest eye-opener.
Tai: Is a liar. I have no clue why he met Lomfon like he did and lied about it. Once he okayed an all-day date with him on Sunday and then lied, I was disgusted with him. Also, he's a jerk for not even attempting to explain any of that, even if he was a little dazed and upset about Patt beating the bejeezus out of Lomfon in the middle of the road. He's a hypocrite because he broke up with Patt first, so why look all stunned and hurt when Patt did the same? And his parents can't be the only "soulmates" who didn't stay together. Where is the research on all this crap?
Lomfon: Is an idiot. He didn't even believe in soulmates, and now this? Just because someone pushes you out of the way of a car does not mean you should now be in love with that person. Lomfon hurt Thian. Also, he didn't tell anyone that he also heard Patt's voice when it rained. I mean, that's important information.

Author: What the hell???? Can you please give us some motivation for Tai's behavior? He becomes bf's with Patt, sleeps with him, then accepts what is pretty obviously a date from another guy, lies to his bf about it, lies again, and then allows that guy to kiss him on the date. Then he acts like he didn't do anything wrong and won't even take a moment to apologize and console the man he hurt! Did the scriptwriter leave something out, like that Tai had a bad concussion or was on mind-altering medication? Gah! Also, why make this world with this hearingloss/soulmate shite and then have it all disappear just because Tai yells out in the rain that he wants it to go away?
Tai also comes up with this unforgettable line: 'If you can't understand my silence you won't understand any of my words." We might need to add "saint" to Patt's description when he didn't strangle Tai for that answer.
