"Mahiro, since you have been truthful with me, I need to be truthful with you. I like you very much and have for some time. It's been confusing because I've never been interested in a man before, but I really do like you. A couple of weeks ago, I decided I would tell you this, but when I got to the shop, you and Ryu were embracing. I thought you were interested in him." Laughs self-deprecatingly. "Stupid of me, right? I can only blame it on how heartsick I've been over you. I know now that I was mistaken, and I'm dating Whats-her-face to try to get over you, and you seem to be back with your ex. I just wanted to be honest and forthright with you for a change." SERIOUSLY, WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN SO DIFFICULT, SOUTA?!
i dont remember if he made him cry, but what I meant was Mahiro was hurt.
I don't remember what happened either and don't have the energy to go back to look. All I remember is they'd just eaten together and Ryu (?) had just told the story of his great love. Souta did something to make Mahiro sad, and that's why Ryu was hugging him. Now, why would Souta suddenly assume it was a lover's embrace? So dumb!
This episode was so painful but in a good way. I hated Souta eating Komachi Shimizu's food and praising her, I…
"Komachi Shimizu slapping him was a bit much she pushed him into the "relationship" knowing he liked Mahiro he shouldn't have agreed but she's hardly innocent she was taking advantage of him being vulnerable." I agree, but she only asked he said he was rejected, so she thought Mahiro rejected him. And Souta out and out used her to try to make Mahiro jealous. That's why she slapped him. Anyway, the only really emotions I felt in this episode were frustration and anger at Souta's stupidity, lol.
I'm going to knock my rating down just because of this episode--Souta is an IDIOT! A cowardly idiot who can't open his damn mouth and SPEAK! I don't care if he thinks Mahrio is with that cute new guy. Mahiro was being completely open with him, and Souta should have done the same! Jees, how long can they DRAG OUT THE MISUNDERSTANDINGS????!!!!!
I thought I had watched this series, but I realized I hadn't. It was so good! Very light and feel good with only a little angst. These guys were so cute together, and hot, too.
This is a late answer for you, but, the way I perceived it is this: The teacher is about to get married--I presume, to a woman. He is 45. One day in class he turns and sees a boy who looks so much like a boy he once loved that he's rocked to his core. The boy appears to him naked. When he finds out the boy is actually the son of the boy he used to know, the teacher invites him to eat and walk around. It is all innocent, but the teacher is reliving in his mind those days when he was in love with this boy but too cowardly to move on with the relationship like the boy wanted to do. Instead, he was leaving for Seoul for whatever reason. The teacher has regrets about this. He asks the boy if he can carry him on is back because that's what he did with the boy's father.
A poignant reminder of lost opportunity. I believe the boy was naked because his father, when he was a boy, had stripped away everything for the other boy, who could not do the same for him.
And that was Green, wasn't it? I've been wanting to see him since The Tuxedo! And such a small part.
If I remember correctly, it's just the one guy has a lot of family issues and also really bad anxiety. Maybe a couple of things didn't make sense. Oh, and I think there was a girl involved, which a lot of people didn't like, including me. But I'm glad I watched it for the guys and for the theme song, which Jeff Satur sings.
SERIOUSLY, WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN SO DIFFICULT, SOUTA?!
