I think this drama was pretty funny. It would've been better if they either 1) elaborated more on why the FL had a crush on the ML during high school or 2) not include this part at all.
The ML reminds me of My girlfriend is an alien's ML (Thassapak Hsu)
The ending was sadd, especially seeing Dayu crying at the wedding. None of the "couples" ended up together, indicating that in reality, people do not often end up with their first love.
Despite the negative comments regarding the ending, I wanted to give this drama a try. I think it was interesting how they combined the present and past scenes and also the fact that they included scenes of the male lead's point of view.
What i liked about this drama is how the male lead was kind to her (most of the times) and liked her for who she was. It was also nice to see how the FL stood up for herself and I think her cousin was really sweet and the deskmate (Zhang Kai) was kind too. What I disliked was that there were some things unexplained (e.g. story behind Xiaze and Dayu), I wished that the Fl remained in her original figure at the end (with the message of it's okay to be yourself/no need to change for others) and I wished there was a better ending..
No actually there is no second male lead/love triangle. After high school, the ML ended up going abroad and the main leads lost contact. At the end, they reunited at a wedding. However, the main leads still "missed" the opportunity to be together due to a misunderstanding..
This movie was pretty weird xD The senpai was the only one who liked her from the start/was nice to the FL. I am happy to read in the other comments that in the manga, she ends up with the senpai :)
In ep 23 he knows about her disguise of qing qing and qing chen and actually he doesnt even know she is from a rich family (at least it's not shown throughout the drama i believe).
The chemistry between the main leads was amazing and they looked cute together. Other than that I felt the drama was quite draggy, especially the last part about the second ML (they could've ended it at ep 31 or even before that). Moreover, many characters in this drama were very desperate that sometimes made it frustrating to watch.
- I personally felt it was a bit sudden how JianJian accepted Ling Xiao. I didn’t like how Ling Xiao kinda forced her into a relationship. He threatened her with his health (which JianJian said so herself). When Jianjian dated Shuran she didn’t know what love was. I was expecting she would take more time adjusting seeing Ling Xiao as a man rather than her brother. They should’ve let her realize her own feelings and slowly accept Ling Xiao. Moreover, they should’ve gotten together when Ling Xiao mentally got stabler. Because it seems that Ling Xiao was a bit “obsessive” with her, seeing her as her cure etc. Tbh I would’ve not mind if they totally left out the romance part of the drama and let them remain brother-sister, because I liked the relationship between the 3 siblings.
- I’ve never seen a character like Chen Ting, what a selfish psycho woman.. I can’t believe she yelled at her 8year old son “you killed your sister”. Even in the last episode she was still selfish, trying to run away from her mistakes by attempting to suicide. She didn’t even mention her daughter in her suicide note. It seems she doesn’t care that if she dies, her daughter (only aged 17) won’t have a dad nor mom. I was hoping she would become a better person earlier and that she accepted JianJian gradually, cause in the end everything just happened too sudden in my opinion.
Overall it was a good family drama, Steven Zhang’s acting here is superb! Li Chao is the sweetest dad ever, he is like an angel! The kids’ acting were great too! The bickering between Li Chao & He Ping and the soundeffects were so funny XD
This drama was very cliché and cheesy but i really enjoyed it! Darren Chen's acting here is so good!❤️ His facial expressions were so funny XD The drama was cute and not too draggy either ^^
