I didn't think I was going to get attacked, yet again, for stating it how it is. The point I was making with that particular quotation, which you took out of context, was that JH fans were making me angry with their piss-poor handling of him not getting the girl. They aren't doing their character any justice by acting like a bunch of clowns. Instead of down-rating it maybe 1 or 2 points, they decided to go on a rampage of rating the show 1 and then pissing all over it on MDL and the Internet. I've seen JH shippers threaten to find the writer and burn her house down, as if that isn't violent, let alone dangerous. Yet, I'm the one with no perspective. Thanks. Really. I love being attacked by people on here. It's fantastic, so thanks. :)

Nice review Bimba! I agree; it feels like you're a resident in the neighborhood and one of the friends trying to get through life. I can't wait to watch the ending! Also, Ryu Joon Yeol was this Reply's breakout star; I cannot wait to see what he does next!

So, it's only an apology if I say you're right and I'm wrong. I see how it is. I am not small minded nor unable to accept others' opinions, but the truth is your argument has no evidence or support with which it can stand. You've given no real concrete evidence to prove to me otherwise. Instead, you imply that I am an animal (and you did say it, don't lie; it was subtle, but I gathered the jist quite nicely).

Look, I'm sorry. I've had a rough week, no slash that, a rough 6-8 months, and I sometimes forget that some people don't look at dramas the way I do or examine them with a similar lens. I look at narrative and you look at romance, and that's fine. I am sad for the rating of such a great show to be ruined by a few who didn't like the ending is all, especially when for me and many others, the show was the most compelling and narratively strong drama of the second half of 2015. I'm just sad that this drama filled with such wonderful things is being berated for being original and allowing a second lead to get the girl. I meant no disrespect, and honestly, I'm tired of arguing because it makes my heart hurt.

I am not an animal and I do not appreciate being called that. I am a writer myself, and I cannot wait to write my review for this fantastic and wonderful show about family, love, and relationships and slap that big fucking 10 right where it belongs on the the side of this drama. I hold my dramas to a standard as well, and I don't think the drama took a turn either. It's pretty evident from early on that it was going to be Taek, but if JH shippers couldn't see that, it's on their own inability to see past their own biases. Also, don't tone police me about civility in discourse when you aren't being civil with your rating of the drama just because of your precious JH (who I actually like, but am beginning to hate because of fans like you who are stuck in 'everything about this drama must go my way or I'll give it a 1....wahhh' squad). There are plenty of reasons that this drama deserves a high score, and you know it, but you are blinded by your faith in JH and your inability to see farther than that. I'm just telling it like it is. If you didn't like the show, perhaps you should not have watched it. I'm tired of arguing with people who think they have a standard when they clearly only have a bias.

I did have this problem in the last Reply series, but you know what I did? I sucked it up, watched the rest, and gave the drama a 10 for being awesome instead of whining about it and threatening to give it a bad rating.

I am pretty sure the ending of Reply 1988 is going to wreck friendships on here. People are already saying they are going to give the show a rating of 1 because they are sooo damn upset about this or that. They weren't fans of the show then. That's how I feel.

No, JSY was wooden, no matter what she was doing. That's how she is in every drama. Also, you can refrain from the subtle but not-so-subtle aspersions cast on my intelligence or insights into the show just because I didn't care for your faves. I watched all 20 hours of this piece of work, same as you. This review was written the day after I finished it. I hardly ever review directly after watching the finale. I usually take 1 to 3 days to suss out my thoughts about a drama. Guess what? My thoughts after I finished watching were the same when I wrote the review. Why? Because there was no mistaking that the show ended up a damn mess and mainly because of her.

Aww. "sorta not fair?" Healer did not finish until February 2015 (how do I know this? because I watched the last few episodes a couple days after my birthday, which is in Feb.), so it's allowed to be on this list. KMHM also aired in 2015. People vote for the drama they like best. There is no "fair" or "unfair." The nominations are made by people on this site who take the time to send in nominations. Don't like it? Next year, put your nominations in. Plain and simple.

People forget, as well, that on the licensed streaming site airing Healer, that in the U.S., fans had to wait two weeks for episodes, which pushed the show well into February for many viewers.

I'm not really much of a speedwatcher. I have once or twice, but it was with longer dramas who had that one filler episode that I didn't like. Otherwise, I watch everything from start to finish.

I just removed this from my PTW and streaming queues because of your comment. I like SJS and Shin Mina, but not enough to be bored out of my mind for 16 hours.

I don't really care. I like Taek more, but who she ends up with doesn't matter much to me. The show is too good to stake liking it or disliking it on who she ends up with in the end. I know so many people did that with R94, and though my favorite did not end up with the lead, I still gave the show the score I thought it deserved.

I saw it on Saturday. It's very, very good. You should go and watch it! Also, do it soon! Usually China Lion only has their films in theaters for a week or so.
