I kind of want to punch Min Soo in the face and yell,"Stuff your damn male ego and your embarrassment. Love you mother and support her." I swear; I don't know who I dislike more: Woo Chul (sleazebag, chauvinist pig) or Min Soo (spineless boy-toy). The way they treat No Ra, as if she cannot have dreams that don't include them or thoughts that don't take into account their feelings or emotions that aren't anything but a smile or grinning and bearing it, is beyond me. No Ra deserves better than these two morons.
I truly appreciate how Episode 15 was able to take the risk to show that kind of sadness and chilling action.…
I'm a bit torn about it. It is one of the reasons the show is at 9.5 for now. I would akin it to "dying to self" possibly. Sung Jae had to metaphorically die (in this case, perform the act of attempting suicide) to allow himself to live. Still, it bewilders me a bit. I guess the writers wanted viewers to at least understand that he wasn't as fused with the spirit as once thought--that, like Bong Sun possessed by Soon As, Sung Jae didn't know what was occurring during his possession. I'm up in the air about it because I felt like Eun Hee did not get to change much. It is really confusing considering how much development other characters went through.
P.S. I hope this is logical. It's almost 3am here.
I truly appreciate how Episode 15 was able to take the risk to show that kind of sadness and chilling action. The fact that they didn't shy away (like so many dramas do) of showing the actions of Sung Jae show how top-notch this drama is for its genre. When Sung Jae was fighting with the evil spirit and ultimately ended his life, I thought that was a pivotal scene in this series? Why? Because it showed that the show wasn't going to take shortcuts. Suddenly, Sung Jae wasn't going to live happily ever after; he wasn't going to have an 11 o'clock reconciliation. He was going to die, and, as sad as it was, it was narratively compelling.
This show is now in my Top 5 dramas. Funny, this is the third Seo In Guk drama to breach my top five. I see a pattern here. Awesome, and definitely memorable.
I'm a fan of both Bong Sun and Soon Ae , so to see them both sad is difficult. I am proud of Soon Ae because she…
Just because she has no other choice but to perform the ritual doesn't mean she's selfish. Actually, Soon Ae's decision to hold the ritual is an incredibly selfless act, considering that she has not resolved her grudge as of yet. For her to consider the ritual without the resolution of her own conflict is a huge sacrifice on her part. I don't think the only reason she's interested in who is trying to kill Bong Sun is because it's Officer Choi. Remember, before she saw who it was, she pushed Bong Sun out of the way. It was only when Choi was sitting idly afterward did she see that it was him.
Chef knows about Soon Ae now; Bong Sun told him. I do think he loves Bong Sun, but he definitely liked aspects of Soon Ae's personality. I do believe triangles can exist, even if a person is unwitting of the other person. You can have love for someone who has never seen you. I think you're pretty wrong in the assessment of Soon Ae's decisions here. After all, we all care about ourselves just a bit more than we do for others, and that isn't wrong. It's being human.
I'm a fan of both Bong Sun and Soon Ae , so to see them both sad is difficult. I am proud of Soon Ae because she decided to do her ritual, but yet also decided to postpone it because she saw that Bong Sun was in danger. She could have done the ritual the next day, with no one the wiser, and Bong Sun would be dead. I'm proud of Bong Sun because of the courage and conviction it took for her to tell Chef the truth about herself and Soon Ae's possession of her body. Both of these acts showed great courage. I still think Chef loves Bong Sun and Soon Ae's Bong Sun as well. I'm hoping this act of truth will steer everyone toward a happier ending. I definitely want Soon Ae to resolve her grudge, Bong Soon to grow and show herself (as herself) to Chef, and for Chef to gain an understanding of both Bong Sun, Soon Ae, and fall in love with Bong Sun as herself. More so, I hope all of them can help expose Officer Choi for the coward that he is.
With episode 13, this show just jumped up to my top 10 and possibly my top 5 dramas. Great, intellectual writing. I don't get how people think the writing is boring. I absolutely love the narrative--the connections are intriguing, mind-whirling, and yet, done in a manner that is perplexing without being confusing or illogical.
I have read the comments here now that I am up to date I am surprised so many people dont like Soon Ae's personality.…
I like Bong Soon though, and I want to see how her personality develops. I don't think she's as boring or incompetent as people make her out to be. I'd be more on the meek side if I saw ghosts all day as well. I wouldn't want people to know about that either because other people can't be trusted not to think she's crazy. She clearly likes cooking and is somewhat skilled at home cooking if not restaurant faire. She's a fairly good writer as well, as is seen by her blog. I think fans think she's boring, meek, and incompetent because they look at Soon Ae and fashion the characters as polar opposites. I don't see them that way. Just because Soon Ae was clearly more extroverted in life doesn't mean she's better or more "interesting" than Bong Soon. It just means she didn't hide as much of her real feelings from the rest of the world.
I don't hate Soon Ae. Most of the fans here like her, but wish that she didn't just use Bong Soon for selfish things. I understand she's got a deadline to not become an evil spirit, but does that entirely justify her infiltrating another's thoughts and manipulating other's feelings? I'm not so sure. I think she's a great person, and I don't think she wants to cause harm to Bong Soon, but at the same time, even she can't deny the fact that she's using her, that Bong Soon has no recollection of pieces of her own life, and that when she's possessing her, Soon Ae is building relationships with people that Bong Soon doesn't even know about.
For me, that's a bit frustrating because it's taking the main character's agency away from her. It's saying, "Oh, well...she's introverted and messes up sometimes. She's a nobody, so it's okay to possess her." It's like if someone told me that because I wasn't outgoing that I didn't deserve to live.
I think Bong Soon will grow through this series. She might become more outgoing; she might not. However, she will, in the end, be the one Chef ultimately falls in love with, so fans of Soon Ae being with Chef need to prepare to be disappointed.
After you expressed that we were "hateful" and posting "hateful comments," even before the article began, you already turned me off to your article (not that the content hadn't already done so). Next time, be cognizant of 1) your audience and 2) how you approach your audience. That's the best advice I can give you as a writer. Your subject is another story.
I, too, thought the ending to be fitting for everyone involved. Souta needs to find his way without an "inspiration"…
No one deserves abuse, ever! How you could even say that is beyond me, and I'm going to ask a simple question. "Are you even a human being?" Quit shaming others.
It's actually pretty funny, but you're too busy being a troll to actually watch the show and make a comment after watching it. Instead, you decide to insult many of the people watching this show. Why shouldn't we like the show. It's cute and funny. I can guarantee no one expects this to be a masterpiece, but so far, it's actually decent. Also, I'm not a "teeny bopper" either, and many of the EXO-L on here aren't either, so quit insulting us.
Actually, it's not. There are many times that people who hate an actor or actress or want another movie/show to be rated better rate things as 1 because a 0 rating doesn't count. They do it to spite the fans of the actor/actress or the show/film. It happens all the time.
Also, I write reviews like that because I believe in using correct grammar and providing argumentation when reviewing. If people find that pretentious, again, that's on them, but it doesn't make my review worth a downvote. The comments section is there if they disagree.
Don't assume that I can't accept criticism. What about my review was badly written or poorly constructed? Nothing. It's just antis being antis. Also, I'm not your "bro." I'm saying there's no reason to downvote a review that is legitimate and well-written. It shows the lack of class of the downvoter, not the one downvoted. Just saying.
Very overrated, nothing special or unique at all.. it`s a story like Superman..reporters,reporter female lead, male…
How, and in what manner, was my comment "getting personal"? Somebody please tell me, because clearly I was "getting personal." Last I checked, I wasn't the one insulting people who rated a drama a certain number. Hmmm...people want to talk about "getting personal," but they won't accept that they insulted people and offended them. Instead, they foist responsibility onto those who called them out for it.

Seeing as that the last thing you said in your post clearly offends many MDL users, I'd say you're pretty insulting. The last thing you said, and I quote, was, "The only reason this is so popular because the majority of the users in this site are females and we tend to like a drama with very handsome, strong and cool male lead but no not me i am not a teenager anymore,if this drama had an older or unpopular male lead no one here would have liked it or praised it that much."
You inferred that all of us were "teenagers" who wanted to rate Healer a 10 just because of Ji Chang Wook's looks. I'd say that's pretty insulting. I know that I've not been a teenager for almost 10 years, and there are many users here on MDL who are much closer to my age range and older who also gave Healer a 10. None of us did that because of Ji Chang Wook. Yes, he is attractive, but honestly, it was the storyline that subverted many k-drama tropes that was the star of the whole drama. Once the acting was added, the writing was amplified by the quality of the acting.
Also, no one here cares how long you've been using the Internet. 2008 wasn't that long ago anyway; some of us have been using the Internet since the 1990s, so *shrugs shoulders*, I believe no one cares.
Furthermore, if you think calling out an older woman and saying they "lack respect" is okay when they were speaking nothing but the truth, you're sorely misguided on how actual argument works.
P.S. I hope this is logical. It's almost 3am here.
Secretly hoping for another season!

I just love this show. Kyungsoo was so great in this episode too!
Next episode: Sex machine Kai!!!!!!!
