I’m sorry. This one was sweet, the approach well established, but I liked the Korean version better. But to be honest, I think it was because the female lead was hard to like at first. She redeemed herself at the end…but…yeah. Still a nice watch. I just prefer the original. But I’ve seen the Indonesian remake and Taiwanese remake and I can say each version has their own charm. The cultural aspects and gender changes, well-done. The overall premise and execution of the story is a winner for them all.

In all her roles she reminds me of a young Brigette Lin. Actresses like her don’t play the frilly and girly type despite having the looks to do so. They portray the baddie female characters with a cool super power or fighting prowess.

I legit cried! I was not expecting the ending. Fabulous. All the actors and actresses did a superb job. Included my favorite trope!!!

Omg!! I love Julia Wu, and I loved Berant in Danger Zone. I guess I now have to delete Julia’s “1:28 (Original)” album from my Apple Music library. Dang, I’m so disappointed.
