Ah, I see. Thanks. I thought they were talking about the age gap in real life, which isn’t by much. Just three years. But in the show, the context, setting, roles, and situation, I can see why it’s controversial.
I saw him in “Behind Your Smile”, and I really can’t get his visuals out of my mind. I hope he continues to act. Has real screen presence. And a really nice smile.
(Side note: I’ve been telling my sister that he looks like a cross between Nicky Wu and the late frontman of Beyond, Wong Ka Kui).
People kept criticizing her acting in “Fallen Rainbow”, but I genuinely think she did a good job. Despite retiring a couple decades ago and getting married off and moving to America…her acting comeback was great.

Plot hole theories:
I wish Mr. Jay would’ve stayed a friend. He was such a cool character. But Phak (ML) wasn’t good at holding grudges. I believe after Mr. Jay turned himself in, Phak would have visited him and given him his old job back once he got out.
Jane/Chen and Phon’s romance was unrealized. But there was a very obvious hint at the end that they’d soon get together (bouquet thrown!). I definitely do think so. I just wish they had 2 or 3 more scenes together.
The mother redeemed herself at the end. However, I don’t know if it was the translator's fault, but why would she say she loved Jane more than May? That isn’t fair. I think what the mom meant to say was that she was always extra protective of Jane because she was too precious and innocent, and she’d hate to see her hurt. She treated Jane better because of her past faults. May is different. She had other strengths and could handle harsh criticism. Also, they hinted that May and Jane might not have the same dad, but the mother vehemently denied it. May mentions the uncertainty in episode 14 or 15.
Waew and Songyot’s storyline ended off correctly. Yet, it would’ve been better to see the positive aspects of their relationship. Waew always seemed so unhappy. I wish she would’ve made more appearances. Oh, well, at least she was gonna get Songyot back once she put in the effort to do so.
The aunt with the celebrity news site was gonna eventually be canceled. Jane/Chen exposed…we just didn’t get to see it. We, the viewers were robbed of that.

Yet, the downsides were the unfinished plot points and the ending could have been better showcased in episode 17. I believe that some of the other characters would’ve eventually got their happy ending, which the non-existent episode 17 would’ve tied up in a nice bow.
Anywho, I recommend for the leads’ chemistry, characters, and overall premise. The ending might surprise you, but our lovely couple get a happy ending. No regrets.

The show looked like it would’ve ate. But I’m so confused. Was it the actors? The plot? What’s the problematic and controversial stuff people keep mentioning in the comments below? Was it the scheduling conflicts on the network, with the cast, or was one of the actors being toxic? The book? What’s this book people keep talking about? The title? We can’t ask about the title?
A clear explanation, with 5 - 8 sentences would be fitting. I keep seeing name calling and passive aggressiveness in the comments below. And that’s annoying to see.

Oh, really? I think when I said three episodes per day, I guess I was thinking in the case of just needing a type of reprieve from doing a load of schoolwork that day or something. If in the case of it being when the show was actually airing, naw. I wouldn’t have tortured myself. I would’ve been so impatient. So, I get what you mean. Hehe. And thank you!
