Finished the first 6 eps and I was surprised by the lack of screentime of the two leads. Still, Zhang Xincheng and Zhang Zifeng make the most of their appearance. I'm intrigued by the plot so far and their young counterparts are growing on me.
In episode 22, after LBY and CSS got away from the bad guys why did CSS not return to the camp on her own as she…
(1) She'll be the prime suspect of the eavesdropping of the Third Prince's faction if she came back alone, at least LBY can vouch for her that they were tgt. (2) She had to play the part of being indebted to the general for saving her life (3) The pain is probably real. He just loves to repeat it out loud for CSS to notice him.
This remains as one of my favorite dramas. The leads pay back what they owe to each other that's why it never felt like one was doing more for the other. Both loved and sacrificed. I can't wait to rewatch this gem ♥
dropped at ep8...... i dont feel the chemistry between zjy and njf. it's not a full-blown romance so i understand. but there's hardly any thrilling action. the fml takes the initiative to help others, but always asks the other people's help, dragging them into trouble even though they have missions of their own. the villain/s hardly impress.
might struggle seeing Xu Zheng Xi with other actresses who are not Qiao Xin huhuhu the downside of having a very good chemistry in his prev drama HAHAHAHAHA i just hope i wont feel the age gap in this one. jieqiong is around the same age as me.
I thought her innocent cute face will be a handicap in her career, but she proved me wrong in Fishbowl Wives as she played a mean sister. Looking forward to her future works. Adopting her for now. She's so adorable ♡
most of the time i'm unconvinced of the connections of the characters and i don't get why characters react like this and that (exhibit a: the dynamic between syh and yzj, also between yyf and yzj), but i also don't find the drama boring prolly because of its aesthetic :D
Some people acting like the ending was so bad so I was scared to play ep34 at first. I actually understand why…
I've always wondered why the Noble Consort didn't resort to talking to LY's mom into stopping his husband from revealing her identity, but now it makes sense. LY's mom prolly did talk her husband out of it, but because of his upright nature, he's not willing to hide the truth so she had no choice but to kill him. This is why LY's father's last words were not to seek revenge for him & stay out of imperial affairs since he KNOWS who killed him & didn't want LY to hate his mother :(((
(2) She had to play the part of being indebted to the general for saving her life
(3) The pain is probably real. He just loves to repeat it out loud for CSS to notice him.
but zjy is so pretty & suits this period
