Reason was stated in the 3rd episode. He was the ONLY connection to Dohee who ghosted him. As shown in ep 7 Dad knew his son was redoing exams and dohee even called him. Had dohee not ghosted him or gave him closure he wouldn't wait near his dad.

I disagree with the "straight women wanting to see gay men suffer". They got their happy ending though the journey to it was full of angst. Only 2/5 shows she directed were like this. Others were pretty happy dramas.

It's simply that this isn't your cup of tea. Nothing more, nothing less. Yes, the story has some flaws but overall it was pretty good.

Just to clarify I watch everything. Most of BL fans are kdrama fans too.
And its not just about exposure, if a BL is bad many people will rate it a 2 and criticze it. The thing is most people who watch rate it which is the opposite here. If people are complaining about the rating they need to stay relevant and blame the people not voting.

Great drama and love the angst. The only thing I regret is that there wasn't love shown after restarting their lives together. Wished they focused more on it.

So dohee never went to hanseol uni. He faked his architecture degree, and the bully knew about it. The reason why he moved to ilsan was because someone else found out that he faked his degree and complained about him. He still made plans and stuff even tho he faked them.
