So im a bit curious, to nay book readers or anyone else, Lu Feng seemed very nice and loving to yi chen in the begining, so was he always this evil? or did he turn evil cuz of the trauma his dad inflicted when he was abroad?

Rape reports for men are extremely low cuz the police never take them personally. A male rape victim will have less support from men and women too unfortunately. And lu feng comes from a powerful rich famliy. Whose gonna believe him? His mom would prolly tell him to hid it.

I mean look at recent events. A thai heir of singha (scott) was raped by his brother but all the celebs and the people took the perpetrator's side cuz he's "his brother" and is married to a famous actress with a child on the way. They refused to believe in him until the victim released a recording of the rape being acknowledged and even then they are saying sorry to the wife(when she's not the victim here)not the victim and don't wanna be cancelled any further. The wife will never divorce the husband cuz he's the heir and she even decided to defend him.

Poor Yi chen. What I like about yi chen is that he's not ur usual wimpy guy. He knows his boundaries and is not afraid to speak his mind and fight back. Now that we've come to this we'll see Lu Feng slowly breaking his spirit and mind.

Its a good series not great. Besides even queer movies have stereotypes. One character falling ill or dying, no one gets together, metting up after a decade or in old age etc. Now stereotypes aren't inherently bad "Your name engraved herein" is an attestment to that but the issue with soul mate (according to my pov) is that its too vague.

Most of us aren't claiming that we need to see men fuck for it to be good (if you have read the comments below) or doing french kissing but the drama's direction seemed to be a bit lost. Many people were already able to guess the whole plot here before and after the trailer dropped.

I mean sure you could say we don't need labels but queer people do indeed label themselves? which isn't a bad thing either. As for whether its a queerplationic relationship i agree with u on that take but most "soul mate drama lovers" would say they are in a romantic relationship.

Also for queer dramas like this majority of the audience is either gay/queer. Some of the MDL users here are queer too just like u and I don't think its fair to not consider their opinion as well. as for intimacy well there's nothing wrong with it either. Sex is important for many (unless ur asexual wich is fine) and many queer dramas have nudity, sex as well. Series like "Queer as folk " are very important as well.

Nothing explicitly gay at all. No kissing or no intimacy other than hugging. Its hard to say its queer baiting but as someone said its more like a queerplatonic relationship. The lines are too blurry in my pov.

Yea i agree with you. This director is known for doing this. I mean he did make More than words (which was angst but plot was technically better) Its not like im against angst or sad movies... but this is kinda becoming repititive.

The series tried to be this ambiguous, open ending thing and i feel like it failed at it. And i do feel like this fit the stereotypes u just mentioned and then there are people telling that im wrong and they are gay. But what makes them gay to begin with is my question?

yup i predicted it.... while there are queer elements i'm honeslty confused to what it actually belongs. It doesn't feel very queer to me at all. Some would say it doesn't matter but then what should matter?

And i did expect some sort of "bad thing in last ep" so it did take away the surprise element.

Nope. No 2nd lead or love triangles. Sun doesn't even realize who Jay is until 3/4th of the book is finished. However Jay is very possesive and always comes to rescue him cuz Sun does get into alot of trouble even while acting.

well he technically asks to take his nudes for his private collection. I don't remember if he actually did so. He isn't sexually interested in him tho so ig its more of a photographers pov. He's not evil but i'd say opportunistic. Sun was pretty much ok with it.

his brother didn't get raped. I'll use the thai character names here instead of korean. Basically Sun is a troublemaker who gets expelled from shcool and has been doing side jobs. Mom is sick so he borrows money from loan sharks. Bro gets stabbed by one of the loan sharks and dies. Then the money he borrowed wasn't enough and his mom dies as well while Bank steals his life savings and dissappears.

He worked hard to repay the loan sharks and he sees that bank has become a famous actor. He gets angry at this. He was at that time wearign a bunny costume for a job. While on the road he sees the other Jay, getting in trouble. He beats the bullies and the asks Jay to fuck away his pain. Mind u Sun is actually a top so this is the 1st time he bottoms. He keeps on the bunny head and Jay fucks him and sees his tattoo on his back. He then starts to cry and Jay gets confused yet intrigued. On top of that Sun insults jay buy giving him 200 won and considers him a prostitute. Jay gets pissed off this so he tries to find him no matter what.

The sun decides to enter the entertainment industry. It gets pretty dark here. Jay is a CEO of a big entertainment industry. He agrees to sponsor him. Jay figures out he's the guy he slept with but sun doesn't even remember him. Jay and a couple of others help him navigate entertainment industry. Its filled with scenes which shows the bad side of being an actor. The abuseetc


The plot goes deeper where its relevealed Bank is a whore for that old guy u saw in the trailer with a beard. He's another Entertainment company Chariman. and Bank is in charge of pimping out new actors to him and his buddies in the indsutry. Sun takes them down at the end and they live a happy life.

ok so it seems like the story ends in around 70 chapters but it also has 30 side chapters and and and another set of side chapters called paid payback. i havent' read the side chapters to.

Seems like no. Original has 130... with 35 extra side story chapters but it finished last month. I found a website that translates it but u need like $30 to unlock all which is ridiculous since u can buy the book for that price.

He's a photographer. Sun starts acting from the bottom so he needed a celebrity photographer which is boss's character. He's not evil and he does help sun but in exchange for something( don't worry its not sex) . I dont mind spoiling it a bit further if u want.
