okay i agree with the point your making but your making it in the wrong comment section. they literally never said anything about wanting explicit scenes in the show, just made an assumption which likely might be true. its not an out of pocket thought ,obviously well established actors with a huge fanbase (many of which are obviously going to be conservative) dont want to take which are considered 'risky moves' for their careers. and they literally said they would prefer if the story would be good like any normal viewer i dont know how you got that idea from just this simple short comment.

i try to understand chompoo but i swear its like why date someone when you have to fully hide their existence in your life from people closest to you? its just humiliating for the partner and chompoo seems way too cool about it with playing it off with her cute act without actually considering what it'd like to be tonnams shoes. but now that she's unveiled tonnams existence to her mother it still throws me off how she pretends to take the step to tell her shes dating her instead just casually making up another lie. it rubs me the wrong way but i 100% understand tonnams both frustration and acceptance for chompoo since you cant control love but at the same time i wonder if i was her these are the types of things that would slowly make me fall out of love. shes a strong soldier lol.
and i cant help but say that as much as i'd like to feel sympathetic towards chompoo, i cant. genuinely shes just a grown baby who needs to get it together without making excuses every 2 seconds.

there is a fine line between what this show is doing and queer baiting i'd say, because rather than it about being queerness fully (although it does kind of bring that vibe into it) its more about just how strong someone's love has to be to accept different versions of their partner (which yet again is lowkey giving pansexual lol) but we can tell yunjae is still uncomfortable with jieun becoming a guy but at the same time theyre seeing layers to eachother they didnt see before due to gender differences i guess? but simply putting not really. let me know if this makes sense!

okay so there is no kissing between the two guys and jieun asks yunjae to be 'friends' when shes become a dude but i think it'll expand on how regradless of the gender of the person you love you will still feel similarly towards them i guess? thats the vibe im getting

my opinion short and sweet: people who genuinely refuse to watch this because two men kissing isnt the entire plot scare me.

for sure everything is so casual and nonchalant i feel as if somethings wrong with me for overthinking the minor unimportant details and not only is it unrelatable but i find it unbearable too sometimes. however i can name a lot of good western shows that i related with too but at the same time they have certain aspects that are just not necessary like the never have i ever plot (i have not watched it btw) which basically was about how teenagers want to lose their v-cards asap but i mean it might cater to american audiences idk.. and not to say all or majority western shows are like this but i still find it rather hard to connect like you said but i still find them very entertaining so will i stop watching them? not any time soon haha theyre like a guilty pleasure sometimes.
i just find the constant need for sexual advertisement of both men and women not needed like we get it theyre hot? but they lack emotional depth and intelligence and im not saying that i expect screenwriters to free every character from sexual desire and make them perfect but their whole personality should not be their conventional attractiveness and seducing factors. and for sure once again i love all good shows so im not saying asia hasnt had any bad shows and the west only has bad shows since i could pick a few bones with especially kdramas too since i mostly watch them in the asian category but we all know how western shows literally scream 'sex sells' without saying it.

yes haha i myself only watched till season 6 but patrick was such a fun character and it kind of sucked without him. and 8 seasons is pretty long so you can guess it was well loved on. i still enjoyed the show despite it being unrealistic to my standards but then again we arent the target audience so i dont expect a lot.

i have also watched skam france s3 it was nice, but i say again yes elite was unrelatable to me and obviously exaggerated but i had fun with it. i dont hold my shows or movies to very high standards since im also pretty easily entertained, but sometimes critical thinking takes over lol.

i wish they wouldve been released directly instead much more convenient considering the gravity of the show to begin with
