omg yes haha it also reminds me of elite so much drama when theyre just in highschool..
ahah thank you i think i was a bit unclear at first so i had to further clarify a bit !
and yes they are clearly shifting the focus just through the obvious marketing with the separate posters for each character which obviously signifies they must have a role important or pertinent enough to be recognized even on the main poster.
exactly, elite expanded in a similar way when in season 1 there was the main focus on samuel and a couple of his friends but it shifted even by episode.
also agree on the last bit, as a person who watches a lot of media but mainly asian i feel rather comfortable with less nudity/explicit content although im okay with moderate amounts but western media has just a shockingly large amount of it and they dont fail to incorporate it into like every episode haha. also maybe it is due to being asian and a being part of a conservative culture when it comes to things like that, really affects (my personal at least) comfortability regarding specific content. and shockingly i was not aware that the sexual appeal of elite was one of its main selling points i mainly watched it since i heard it had good thrilling and mysterious aspects aswell as queer representation but you are clearly right since it ran for not just 5 but 8 seasons haha.
for sure bxr definitely feels out of the realm of imagination for a common asian or to be specific korean teen unless you somehow are a 3rd gen chaebol or get accepted into an elite-esque highschool but still seems far fetched.

for sure u are right about that but my point was abt that distinct difference you mentioned first about the girls being the centre of the show maybe i understood it wrong idk lol š because i was talking about how this second season is spreading out the focus of plots and charcaters a bit like elite in that aspect where there are lots of stories and character at the point of attention.
but as not part of the western audiences who watched elite and also part of the asian non-korean audience who is watching bitch x rich i feel disconnected from both haha. i dont find the nudity and sexual appeal of elite to be that attractive neither do i find anything in bitch x rich relatable but bitchxrich is defintely very exaggerated whereas elite is still relatable to the average european teen im assuming.
one main reason is definitely because of the unrealistic schools and school related experiences because most people dont go to such nice schools haha.

oh im glad to know im not alone on this !! but at the same time in both universes how are HIGHSCHOOLERS at the centre of all this drama??im so lost because no teens life is this dramatic abt the difference i still feel the main focus has been taken of the girls slightly as well with the new characters and plots so its also resembling elites distributed focus of characters..
That is one of the points of Chi's character that gets lost in most adaptations of the Novel. Originally, Chi…
u definitely know how to word it and u are right i dont disagree with anything matter of fact but it was more of a rhetorical question if im being honest; expressing my dislike for that characteristic of his haha but still thank u :3
The cat and mouse relationship dynamic. The term "cat and mouse" in the context of harassment describes a situation…
thats still fair and i know what ur trying to say but it gets a bit annoying when half of the time hes on screen he's just trying to get qiqong to sleep with him š¤
a little underwhelmed by ep 5,6 but one thing i appreciate is jungwoo being clear about how he would not make a move/take any sort of consent from a drunk person, because most of the time consent is so vaguely discussed its annoying..
I actually really like it, itās so adorable but at the same time very mediocre in a way if we keep accepting our fate with these bls which are just ācuteā theyāre gonna think why try harder if even this is enough for them and enough for the conservative audiences of south korea to not full on attack it. Love in the big city was such a great example of something challenging I absolutely adore this show and I understand how different it is from litbc, itās about higschoolers but how weāre getting more of the straight couple than the actual couple is frustrating. Iām not talking about screen time Iām saying how they basically left the last two episodes for the main couple to be a couple and it should be questioned. Like why do we have to feel grateful that south korea or any other country for that matter is finally leveling up their game and making something actually good yes I appreciate how far weāve come but seriously? Are we supposed to feel that way forever? For them doing the bare minimum of doing their literal jobs? This is not just about this show but about this system as a whole. Weāve seen so many shows where the webtoons were bl but the shows ended up making it staright or something, that absolutely sucks right but when ur actually turning a bl webtoon into a bl why are you so hesitant and reluctant? Itās just sad.
