i feel like cdramas has certain 'look' for their actors that she doesn't fit in despite her massive talent :(…
CMIIW as the news that I got was mostly secondhand but apparently some complained about her look that does not look 'goddess' enough. i think if you watch a lot of xianxias you'll probably understand how a goddess tends to be portrayed by actresses with certain looks. zdy didn't fit the mold and people thought it ruined the whole drama.
