I think I've rewatched this for 79 times (lol reference to forever and ever). Everytime i watched chinese palace dramas with badly written politics I always return to NIF to cure my soul~ even any kind of drama where the bad doesnt get their karmic retribution

This drama has ruined me for good. And it's one of the first chinese dramas I've watched. Watching c-dramas after this never feels the same.

Story of minglan! The writer of xhcl novel also wrote story of minglan and i think it was produced by daylight ent so the quality is top notch. Although minglan is more mature and realistic.

My mistake is watching this after finishing Ancient Love Poetry so this seems a lot less interesting in comparison. The pace of the drama is too slow for me :( but I love how they went with human life first and revealed the mysteries of the past lives later.
