Chinese is a communist country...if the gov said you cant exceed 40 episodes, you just can't. and its what it…
i'm pretty sure i answered the OP question- what's the point of having limits of productions going around it with part 1 and part 2...i said- the gov set the ruled and sometimes it doesn't make sense. like how is my post not answering the question? 🥴 sounds like you're offended by me calling the chinese gov as communist- you could've just said that.
- and thanks for the suggestion but i'll pass . I rather be a keyboard warrior for now then to go "fight for injustice" but i'll think about - 🙃
Chinese is a communist country...if the gov said you cant exceed 40 episodes, you just can't. and its what it…
your "Facts" seems to ignored the other side where it was a SPLIT reaction between netizens whom were NOT happy with the decision. (they questions how this would effect editing and an ability to craft decent transitions and create coherent stories via editing. Stuff will just get more rushed, more crammed together) this wasn't a "just the people complaints and the gov decided to change" During the timeline you've mentioned, you still had dramas that were skyrocketed in success in terms of ranking in rating, profits and popularity with more than 40+ episodes. So where were those complaints? they went ear deaf ! Late 2019 was the leak about the new eps regulations kicked in. oh and you know what happened right before that? Fan Bing Bing biggest tax scandal- oh and you know what happened afterward? Zhao Wei's scandal which broke the camel's back. It leads to the gov questioning the culture of the Entertainment as a whole. It's leads to us no longer allowed to have a "celebrity ranking lists"
the Chinese entertainment has grown alot over the last few decades. their Stars get getting caught doing shady stuff by their standards, which leads to strict monitoring of their gov- this is why you keep seeing harsher punishment and more red tapes. you keep acting like the gov is doing the people's will. They're not. They're doing what they WANT and how they deemed as the "correct way"
Even Jack Ma can't voice his opinion about their gov...you think netiziens that much influence?
Chinese is a communist country...if the gov said you cant exceed 40 episodes, you just can't. and its what it…
if you don't think all those effected in the gov decisions in being more strict with the industry- more rules coming out each year- tighter monitoring and tighter controls as a whole- then it's what it is. I appreciate you taking your time to explains your reasons regardless to how i feel about them. I say how about we just agree on disagreeing.
Chinese is a communist country...if the gov said you cant exceed 40 episodes, you just can't. and its what it…
so you like completely ignored that we had the scandals with actors that were dodging taxes? they were getting big paycheck and not paying taxes- why do you think this came out and then it forces the Gov to look at the Entertainment Industry more closely. All the scandals after scandals put a target on this industry- you have ONE of the strictest Government systems in the WORLD looking at you with magnifying glasses- i mean- you can't even have sushi in your ancient series content now - (even when its a fiction drama lol ) communist? much? lol
Chinese is a communist country...if the gov said you cant exceed 40 episodes, you just can't. and its what it…
uhhh no- its not because of netizens- what in the world. the actual NRTA set that out after all the scandals with the Chinese actors/actresses. they also cap how much an actor can be paid per series along with the new guidelines of 40 episodes cap with the encouragement that new drama should be less if possible.
When it was leaked that NRTA was looking at this new regulations, NETIZENS WERE torn by the decisions- some against it some were pleased with it- so what "grieving" folks are you talking about?
Another curiosity question, what's the point of the rule that dramas cannot exceed 40episodes anymore if they…
Chinese is a communist country...if the gov said you cant exceed 40 episodes, you just can't. and its what it is. sometimes it doesnt make sense lol. they have a saying in China, if the gov set out a rule, there's always a way around it. This is also a new thing- maybe soon the gov will step in and not allow the "Part 1, Part 2" thing anymore- :::shrugs::
I don’t think it’s love at first sight. It’s more of admiration and mesmerised by the FL. A lady at that…
if he didn't just sprung on the horse so quickly and rushed to save her while wounded- i would agree with you more- i feel like since he can forsake his own well being , his own life even for her - he would. By allowing her to step into his personal space, his quick response to her whenever he feels like she's in danger , him setting his own safety aside for her. that to me feels like it has past the boundary of admiration but now it's a form of love.

I would counter that point- I think he is currently in love with her because of how he had allowed her to be so close to him during the arrow scene. (trusting her to help his wound, allowing her to touch him etc etc ) he's not the type that will just allow anyone near him - let alone that close up and personal. Because of that arrow scene, i am like --OKKK DUDE YOU ARE TOTALLLY IN LOVE lol
I do feel like another FL that wants to marry the ML needs to come into this cause right now I see nothing that…
I haven't been addicted to a drama since 2020 with Love and Redemption! lol so this has been a nice find! and i usually don't watch live drama- (tend to wait till its near the end to binge) so this is killing me- lol
I don’t think it’s love at first sight. It’s more of admiration and mesmerised by the FL. A lady at that…
i think you're right- it was admiration and mesmerized at first. He probably didnt really "love her" till that Lantern night when he saw her in full view-
I do feel like another FL that wants to marry the ML needs to come into this cause right now I see nothing that…
yea- agreed @insideout91
to @Stephen Bowman comment- I think even if there were another Love interest for the ML (we technically have one right now, that Princess girl lol) it wouldn't effect our FL because she's not aware of her feelings for him yet. She currently doesn't care for him ML like that- if anything, she'll probably give him a blessing if he were to get married right now. (She herself is currently eager to just get settled down thinking that's her safety zone and pretty much has tunnel vision on anyone else lol )
But i do understand how you want to see more development on the FL's feelings to assure us viewers of how important the ML is to her and she needs to care-
You know what I am more surprised at, LBY has saved her life twice. One was on the new years from the fire and…
I think that fire scene did leave an impressive of LBY with CSS. i think that's probably the 1st time she acknowledged his presence and it might be why we saw her with that fire scene flashback later on when she bumped into him again. Subconsciously- she remember it and it might be the beginning of the butterflies feeling for her, she just doesn't understand or realized it yet.

I went into this series blindly (haven't read the book or synthesis of the drama) so I didn't know what to expect, but based on how the drama is going, it seems like the FL is just naïve when it comes to love. She has no idea what it is and trying to only "survive" the life she's in. She knows what society expectations are and just want to secure her place/find a safety zone. I think that's what makes the interactions between her and ML so interesting is because he's more mature then her (with life experiences) and he's going to show her what loving someone really feels like. I'm sure once we see more interactions between them, we will see the changing in the FL feelings and how she comes to know she loves him- The show so far has done a great job of expressing how the ML feels (without much dialogue) so with our FL being way more expressive, its going to be exciting to watch!
saw a lot of questions on how's the romance in this series- the short answer is a Slow-burn. we're at episode 17 and the FL barely acknowledged the ML yet.
however- the long answer: i was surprised that this series starts out with the ML falling in love with our FL at first sight (even before actually seeing her, he only saw her hand) but there was something sweet about that. the FL left such a strong impression on him that he was mesmerized by her and every-time he hears her name or cross path with her, he would turn and his eyes sparks. The leads don't have a lot of scene together (yet) but with every little glimpse of them together, the chemistry is on FIRE and you can't help but smile thruout their scenes. while the CP scenes are limited, the drama storyline is still interesting and captivating that you also get distracted and forget you're waiting on the next ML/FL scenes to come by- most time, I ended focusing on their family drama storyline that when the ML/FL scene happens, it catches me by surprise and it's such a pleasant/happy/exciting feeling!
i enjoy this weird slow burn romance. it feels a lot more real and i know when they come together, it's true love that was meant to be. this One Life, this One Love- we'll ride with them till death due us part- 🥳

2) history said it is- but are people in China happy? then maybe it isn't?
