This is very similar to the Taiwanese film Summer Times and it's drama remake Summer Fever with George Hu. I actually watch both and this is what I instantly thought after reading this plot.
This is the most watchable vampire theme series from Thailand. I'm not having the sense of watching a Twilight parody that I get from others. There has been a lot of them BTW.
I'm on the first episode and I REALLY hate how it seems like he has a crush on his patient!! It's just soo unprofessional.…
Well both of them were acting inappropriately, the FL and her friend actually went back for checkup just to ogle and flirt with the handsome doctor. I think they could have written a better fitting and tasteful backstory of their first encounter and their subsequent feelings of attraction.
I can't believe someone below commented on the FL's looks and how the ML is more beautiful than her. Very inappropriate and inaccurate as the FL is herself a beauty. She was quite stunning the first time I saw her in that Jackie Chan movie. Aside from Bai Lu, I don't know any other ZLH female lead I would consider a great beauty. Cute yes but beauty no.
I've not watched modern romance C-dramas for a long time but my watchlist this month is filled with romcoms. City of Romance, The First Frost and this drama, unsurprisingly, lending weight to the claim of February as the love month.
This is really good. I don't know why they just dropped everything when they could have done the usual drip release, 1 or 2 episode daily schedule to attract more viewers.
Squad goals down the drain plus shit romantic chemistry between the leads made this in my mind a deliberately written shitty version of Sungkyunkwan Scandal. If they at least had half the charisma of the actors and plot development of Sungkyunkwan Scandal this would at least have been a worthwhile watch.
Too much time wasted on that Chen Duo girl and her sob story. I skipped all of episode 6. Unfortunately she doesn't have Feng Baobao charisma and sympathetic character to make me empathize with her through another backstory.
The actress playing the Grand Princess is really pretty. I hope this is not one of those dramas where they have a much prettier actress become some sort of ploy that prevents homely looking FL and handsome ML from being together as plot device. I have seen those dramas many times.
The FL is not only gullible and an idiot to let herself be used in the machinations of the villain but she also has the bratty and insolent face to go with it.
In the pantheon of useless K-drama kings this one is not only useless and inept he has an incredibly servile attitude that just irritates the hell out of me.
I want to bash that pathetic groveling ant n the end. I've said this many times already but the puppet king trope in K-drama is a plague.
I rewatched this again because funnily enough it has the same English title as my December obsession 九重紫 and because I seem to have forgotten everything about this one save for the major plots. After watching 5 episodes, it is no wonder I've erased this in my memory because JJY parody of Yang Cai Wei is even more irritating and annoying watching the second time around. How could the writers highlight her lack of nuance, maturity and grit by completely changing Yang Cai Wei character and turning her into an emotional teeny bobber who wants to play act as a coroner.
I highly doubt the real Yang Cai Wei would be so careless, stupid and dim to jump to conclusions on what happen on the wedding night. Instead we are treated with typical bratty behavior, pouty lips and overly thick makeup from our FAKE and ditzy Yang Cai Wei who spends several episodes trying to pin the ML as the culprit.
Also something that I just realized watching after a few episodes is that Punlee and Muenfah are brothers. I was thinking the whole time calling each other bro/brother were just close friends calling each other that.
