Shut up. You want a Mary Sue character go watch Blossoms in Adversity. If you want to watch Wonder woman go watch Gal Gadot and her terrible acting. Enjoy and stop loitering here with your shallow mindset and POV.
Good thing FL slapped the ML back to reality in episode 11. His pompous arrogance, conceited narrow view of the world and this all encompassing feeling he is entirely justified turning the world upside down got a good hosing with that talk by the river.
All of the ML's subordinates are absolute dolts and only good for fighting. They are literally competing who is the most stupid one. I'm getting extremely irritated watching the ML's stooges because all they do is gossip and incite conflict. Crossing my fingers the kill list in the end will include them.
The ML is very prideful and insolent no wonder he idolizes his uncle. This maniacal loyalty borders on a weird fetish. Where's propriety and self-control? All his actions up to this moment is some sort of grievance to what happen to his uncle. Whether it's trying to massacre an entire estate or forcing his way to the palace. I just realized that in the first episode and in the possible future, he went on a rampage including killing his own father and brother. Is he gonna end up killing them too in this lifetime?
WTH! the ML tried to silenced FL and her entire retinue all because of one kid. Somehow all the talk of fairness and justice have been thrown out the window and the injustice the general receive will have been paid by innocent people had FL not intervene. I think this drama will be FL trying to control ML's vengeful and vindictive actions from repeating like in the future they came back from.
What happen to the general was the perfect example of the tall poppy syndrome rearing it's ugly head. Did anyone think otherwise his arrogant and irreverent attitude would be forever ignored by the powers in the imperial court.
There is this sense in this drama that the writers are trying to completely justify his behavior on account of his sense of honor, justice and loyalty. I disagree there is something as discretion and subtlety in actions that seems to have been lost on him. He was just inviting trouble with that kind of bombastic and overconfident bravado. No one should be even least surprised with the result.
Really! a pre-teen business magnate? Did anyone in the production not think how ridiculous this looks. Granted she has knowledge of an adult and future events why add this illogical plot device.
Hehe did y'all notice the butterflies in the lamp at ep 5 around 22 min 22 seconds mark? It's the signature ''touch''…
That is at least a sophisticated and nice touch unlike Chu Yui Bun, director of SOKP, Starry Love, among others who litters his dramas with blinding lights and cinematic moments of inner monologue.
Drop at first episode. The body trail of the FL is something else. She is a literal walking jinx. That poor inn lady and noblewoman were very unlucky to meet her in their lives.
It's weird that I see so many comments about Seven Tan's age. Aren't most popular, bankable actresses in their…
This is because of a high infant and child mortality rate. It doesn't in any way apply to people who are healthy and could expect to live to 70 or more. This fallacy that somehow people die of in their 30's in the past isn't scientific or rooted in reality. I'm pretty sure you are aware that men only become adults upon reaching 20 and here you claiming they will only have at most 10 years to live to start a career, get married and have a family. What utter nonsense!
I know the Chinese have a penchant for casting characters to actors that are not age appropriate or a mismatch but this one takes the cake. We've got Tan Song Yun masquerading as a sassy ingénue half her real age, a brother who looks way past 20 to be believable as a man who just attained adulthood and a mother who probably got married at 13 to have kids that look like they are her siblings.
You just never know what mood the FL will have when she wakes up every day. I'm at episode 9 and I just realized she's borderline insane. It seems she's acting in some alternate dimension of her own making while everyone else is in the real world. And no her condition is not good enough to explain her behavior. I'm glad the 2nd FL is at least reasonable and level headed in comparison.
Just something i have noticed a bit reading back through the comments...I absolutely hate GJM and I feel horrible…
GJM has back to back success with producing a top notch production and here a troll somehow thinks their useless opinion is worth time to listen to. Keep your shallow and repetitive complaints and spare us from your tardism.
I've said this before and I'll say it again: this show is gayer than Jack and Joker. I mean Shin looking at Saint…
I would actually like Jack and Joker better without the BL parts. The romantic scenes have been sideline all this time that when they decided to focus on it now it feels forced to me.
This drama though has had unresolved tension from the start and if it were a Chinese drama the censors would have to order cut incessantly.
As I said most directors indulge their actors whims and demands. If you don't like GJM don't watch or spread your nasty and insecure behavior. You don't want your faves being eclipse, that's your deal. There are some of us who would like a more complete and coherent story than seeing the main leads occupy 90% of the story.
And what is the problem with that? Only nasty tards spend their time bashing productions so no one eclipses their faves. TJR was not even 2nd ML or third ML in MJTY and yet he managed to shine in that drama. There are many directors out there that indulge the main leads and their fans but don't include GJM in that department because the story is more important and giving other characters to tell their story is also important.
