This drama was really good =D I loved how there are so many sweet scenes and the two leads have great chemistry. Like many of you guys, I enjoyed it up until around episode 20 and then it got a bit boring towards the end. Nevertheless, I love this drama and I really like how there's not as much angst as some other palace dramas. Do you guys know other dramas with a super sweet male lead like this one?
I feel like we've been blessed with so many Chinese historical dramas this year ^_^ I can't wait! By the way, how's Victoria's acting? I haven't watched any of her dramas before.
It's been confirmed that Ethan Ruan is the male lead =D I'm so excited for this. I highly doubt anything can top Eternal Love but I really look forward to Yang Mi's acting and also to her chemistry with Ethan.
Secret Garden was creepy af. And I watched it at a time where I was still into bad boys. Everyone loved it back…
Yes! I'm so glad someone mentioned this! I love Ha Ji Won so much, but I hated Secret Garden. It was such a creepy, almost abusive relationship and we were supposed to believe that it was "romantic" just because the male lead is good-looking. Like seriously?
Wow! Thank you for this post. I loved reading Chinese novels ever since my high school days and recently a lot of novels have been adapted into Chinese dramas so I'm so happy =D I feel like the quality of Chinese dramas are only getting better and better.
The scenery of this drama is gorgeous but the acting is so stiff. I think all of the supporting characters act better than the main leads which is such a pity. I really wanted to watch this because of Luhan but now I'm reconsidering...
Really cute one. Can anyone tell me if Chinese dramas have just dramatically improved lately, there are more available…
Yes! Love this comment =) I think it's a bit a both. In my humble opinion, there were always good Chinese dramas but there were also a lot of bad ones so I think some people got turned off if they started off by watching a bad one. They might have thought "Chinese dramas aren't for me". Nowadays, they're really upping their game and I can see lots of improvement. I'm always skeptical when a drama has a lot of hype so I was skeptical when I started watching Eternal Love but it's SOO GOOD. Amazing acting, chemistry and plot. Before I thought that Korean dramas were the best but recently I've been seeing a lot of well made Chinese dramas and I'm so happy =D
Me and my best friend were looking at photos in a restaurant and we said, "Oh my god!! He's so cute"
Outsiders thought that we're talking about a guy who is good-looking but in reality, we were just fangirling over A-Li, the most adorable 5-year old ever =D
This is a really nice post =) I wish they would make more nice female characters in dramaland. Like why are the second male leads always so kind and caring whereas the second female leads are always evil and scheming? I think it's time that writers create more kind female roles.
I loved the mom from Itazura Na Kiss. She was so supportive of the female lead from the beginning and she was also intrusive because of her stalker tendencies hahaha
Guys, what am I supposed to do with my life now that this drama is over? ='( I haven't experienced such…
Thanks for the recommendations guys =D I've watched Scarlet Heart and I really enjoyed it. I loved Liu Shi Shi's different relationships with all of the princes. I have yet to watch Nirvana In Fire and I've heard amazing things about it so I might check it out =)

Guys, what am I supposed to do with my life now that this drama is over? ='( I haven't experienced such a strong emotional connection to a drama in a while and it's so hard to say goodbye to Ye Hua and Bai Qian. The acting was brilliant, the drama set was gorgeous and the overall theme really spoke to my heart. In this generation that views dating and relationships so lightly, this drama reminds us that true love requires sacrifice, and when we sacrifice, we don't think that the other person owes us anything because we do it out of love.
I don't understand why people were being mean and bashing his looks, I mean not only is his acting amazing, he is so handsome <3 I will forever remember him as Ye Hua.
