idk if you already finished it but they're not step siblings since rijin was the daughter of ri on's mom's friend. yeah a bit weird but it was not too much since they actually both know they were not siblings and gladly rion didn't pursue his feelings deeply and stayed as his brother

honestly you are right about the last part, there have not been good kdramas lately after queen of tears, lovely runner, and atypical family ended. on the other hand, i think this drama should not be taken too serious. i think it was supposed to be like that
