The palace romance between between poison-crazy Princess Ying and Li Hongqing & the funny romance moments between ML's half brother and Zhong Li, kinda give the Western region romance vibes in SOB. 🤔

Why is the Regent Xiao Qian Qing suddenly fanning when he's acting Emperor? Is the act somehow supposed to show leadership vibes?

The lady perceptor wants to teach FL a lesson for always making trouble for ML. She has been taking care of his medicine for years - I don't feel she romantically love him, but she does care a lot about him, perhaps too much - she is hurting because the Emperor is hurting - and she'll turn evil due to that.

ML screen time is only 5 seconds in epi 14. I think his screen time would be less in few more episodes, since they are going to focus on the 'evil' lady perceptor or FL at Kumor's camp.

After the Kumor arc together with evil perceptor is done, perhaps back to FL's father villian arc in the palace ? 🤔

I'm starting to feel this is the writer for the 2nd half of SOB. 😅

Even so, who knows this writer is the one who wrote the 1st part of SOB - and she will show us a remarkable ML saving FL moments.😉

But why did she wait for the lady general lady there alone?
She knew from the start who the lady was - judging from the room feminine deco.

Why did she think she could handle her alone - she's well know lady general? Why not have some soldiers together with her?

FL was a sect leader - she should know that having few good men as back up.

ML's man put it there, without her knowing it. But, she didn't feel the seal weight at all. Really?

She was moving around, fighting, jumping flying, etc -the seal didn't drop.

But, with just 1-3 moves in the enemy's camp, it drop in front of the enemy General.

This drama has potential, but somehow the writer gets too creative. 😉

Worse, she didn't realise that she has been carrying the empress seal in her side pouch all along. Her cover is blown at enemy's camp.
The writer has lost sense of logic. 😅

She made her Ling brother thinks that she is bullied at the palace. He said ML doesn't care about her safety. She didn't explain that it's her that want to go to war and not even the Emperor can stop her. She really thinks she's invisible. Damn arrogant !

I'm keeping my sane intact by parallelly watching "Love Better Than Immortality" - a light hearted drama with Li Hong Yi & Zhao Lu Si.

Btw, about this drama, it's a story between an Emperor and a carefree woman. He's in charge of a nation. She was leading a sect. That's a huge difference.

It's not easy to make it work. Worse, the woman is an enemy's daughter. Definitely, troubles all the way. 😅

I wish she would listen to him when he tried to explain himself for making such a plan to save both the army and the starving people. He was trying to save everyone. But, she cut him off completely.

To her, only her family is important. No compromise.

I'm glad that he let her go. She doesn't suit palace life. Still, he is covering up for her. She is the only Empress who has freedom. ☺️

Frankly, she just had a crush on him, not love. That's for sure.

I've been hoping they go separate ways. Just don't want any of them to give up themselves for another. She clearly craves for a carefree life, the opposite of harem.

She will do her own investigation, 1stly tell her adopted brother everything, then he will tell his father. That could put her in danger - who knows his father will come up with a plan and use her as bait, put her life in danger again.

She wouldn't give ML a chance to explain himself, why he acted such a way to save both the army and the starving people. To her, ML murdered her adopted brother. That's it.

Never cross her mind that if ML really want her brother to die, he could have killed him he was caught running away with her. I think, she listens to people, except ML.

The way she demanded him to send enforcement to save the army, was very rude too.

Frankly, she couldn't carry the title Empress. If they were still alive at the end, when all the villains are taken down, it's better for them to go separate ways - it would be a headache for him to clean up her mess every time.
