QC could destroy the seed, which also kills QT, but he chose to die instead. It showed that his love for QT is more than his own life.
But, almost noone talks about that. Most just glad his screen time is over. WHY couldn't turn the 'act of love' into 'noble act of love'. If done right, the 'noble act of love' is a way to boost popularity.
Remember Fated Hearts - the nasty Jinxiu Emperor. He was immoral, sleeping with other people's wives, killing and torturing people without mercy - but his last beg for the Princess's life and smile, made people felt pity for him. After that, I think his popularity sky rocketed. Well, Tik Tok was full of him and the princess.
WHY couldn't do that. From the viewers reaction, he stays the same - perhaps only his fans loved his performance.
Some may say CHS stole the the 2nd part of SAB. I admit CHS is a versatile actor - in fact, I like him as Fox boy the most. He should do more funny roles.
But, did you see the scene when FG asked the fox to spit out the water orb? Just 3 lines but so funny, and cute too! There are some other funny scenes too. FG can be funny and cute, without trying to be. 😊
Anyway, even sidelined, many never forget FG. In fact, they are eagerly waiting for FG. Surprisingly, FG is the Top 1 character in 12 days ( I read it somewhere in the comments).
I'd say, Cheng Yi's acting as FuGui from epi 1-18 is so good, that less screen time from 19-28, failed to erase him totally.
It might impact the show ratings, but not Cheng Yi as an actor. 😊

He amazed me with his martial arts moves.
Some actors moves like doing ballad. Cheng Yi's is different, like genuine martial arts - smooth yet sharp.
Well, the rest is history.
Anyways, hope he will always be healthy and happy. Perhaps, now and then, he attends events, so that we get a glimpse of casual Cheng Yi. 😊
