i have to agree with you. ive seen the original version and it was really good! the flow of the plot and characters development were better. 35 episodes is not too short nor too long. in the remake version i feel like it is more cut to the chase, lack in the development of plot and characters. im still enjoying the drama nonetheless. also, it would be weird to compare SHR to SFD. SHR focuses more on romance, SFD focuses mainly on political.

i thought it was going to be another sound of the desert so i stopped at episode 3. then a few days ago i happened to watch the trailer and said to myself ive got to finish this drama. thank god i did. i really love the affection between liu xiu and yin li hua. always making fun of one another so sweet <3
there were too many confusions in this drama but interesting to watch. the plot was good but lack in execution. kudos to the scriptwriter i mean the scripts were beautifully written. not to mention the acting. ive never seen an actor that can cry his eyeballs out on screen lol XD if theres one thing i like the most about this whole drama is the relationship between rouxi and the princes also the bro-ties. they made me laugh, cry, frustrsted all at once. however the one character i hate the most is rouxi. her attitude is really annoying seriously, she simply do things without considering the consequences, different from 13th prince. omg no words can describe how much i loveeeee him.
the last 10 episodes got me crying like a baby. i pity 4th prince :( u must be really lonely, but u deserve a taste of ure own medicine. usually i would be disappointed with the ending but not with this. personally i think it sums up really well. overall it was worth the watch!

this drama looks rather promising. just by watching the trailer u can tell that they spent a fortune on this project. the trailer reminds me of game of thrones hm.
