This article reminded me that I needed to catch up with this drama, so I did yesterday, and that was four episodes in one day. It's a really great drama to lighten your mood!
I watched one episode of this and then went to bed. All normal. At 2:30ish I am awoken by a family member only to find two fire engines outside our house and our freaking garage on fire. Is this a sign that my life is a drama now? That feels like a BIG signal to be honest. I'll never forget that start, haha.
who turned him into a vampire?? ididnt get that part..
I do apologize for such a late reply, I'd read the notification and forgotten about it. OTL. This answer may not be 100% accurate though as it's been a while since I watched it now. But when Chul Oh was telling his story, nearly all of what you said is right, except the sister. The sister wasn't bit. Only Taeyeon was bit by the unknown vampire.
Chul Oh found out that the first victim of a new vampire became a vampire as well as those who received vampire blood. When he turned into a vampire, he searched for the sister and found her in the morgue. When he put her body away again, from pulling it out to confirm her face, he cut one of his fingers. Some of his blood fell into her mouth and the blood turned her into a vampire. Therefore Chul Oh turned her accidentally, so because of it, he looked after the sister in her new vampire state, being the person who turned her into a vampire.

I haven't watched the Japanese version, nor read the manga, ect so I can't compare. I'm enjoying this quite a lot though, and it gives me a bit of a Death Note feeling about it. Although I do find a lot of the games rounds quite predictable, I mean, I've guessed all of them right as of so far.
Shin Sung Rok is good as he has been in all the dramas I've watched him in. I really like his and Lee Sang Yoon's characters. ^^
Wooah, for once I've nearly seen everything on a article. That kinda feels good. I just haven't watched Bokura Ga Ita, which even as a manga never has interested me.
I like this remake, even with the j version/manga/anime to compare to, despite it having so many faults. I also get why people don't like it. But I sort of think of this as a new fresh adaption that has nothing to do with the original other than the main plot base setting.
Franz bores me silly in this version though, I really do not like him. I have no idea why, but he just really irritates me even now at episode 9.
Haha, Hyun Woo isn't Hyun Woo without his headphones around his neck! I swear, in nearly everything I've seen him in so far he has at some point had headphones around his neck, even in this trailer.
With Chiaki in the Japanese version, I always had a love-hate relationship when it came to whether I actually liked him or not. I did, because you know, he's Chiaki, he's as lovable as anything. At the same time, I didn't like him because he was, in my opinion, nasty to people from beginning to end. Of course, lesser at the end than the beginning, but I still think he wasn't the nicest person at times. It's probably because it was slapstick comedy, but I just felt he kinda was on his own podium personality wise which Nodame was always reaching towards rather than being on the same level. Well, maybe until the last movie which I liked him more in.
In this one his counterpart Cha Yoo Jin feels like a nicer person for me, even with his roll of the eyes, sighs and threatening to throw her away. Despite that there's the couple of grins as Seo Nae Il (Nodame) does something weird, even in public, like with the lunchbox revenge. (That cracks me up every time.) He's even letting her grab his uniform dressed as a cow, covering her up with a blanket when she sleeps over uninvited, telling her she has to go to doctors as a priority, etc. He just feels like he's treating her more like a human than a dog, he still has his moments, which is pretty obvious as to why with it being a remake, but generally I think he is less sharp edged than Chiaki.
I like Chiaki and now I like Cha Yoo Jin too, but Cha Yoo Jin is winning favourite version at the minute, even if he is less like the actual manga character.
I re-watched all the Japanese version in 3/4 days for this but I don't know whether I did a good thing or not. Now I'm comparing the Japanese to the Korean whether I want to or not. There's less... "anime feeling" in this one at the moment, I guess? I have had a good couple of laughs though, which Cantabile was all about in my opinion.
Nevertheless, looking forward to how this turns out as it is only the first episode!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvUO-E2cg1M Trailer is out for it! But Sulli really doesn't feature in this trailer much for some reason. I thought she was a main character and would have more screen time in the trailer? Oh well...
Who are the dimwits rating this even though it hasn't aired yet?
MDL had a lot of 'time travel' ratings for shows which hadn't aired yet previously. They were stopped a while ago in the new update to the website, but this was on MDL before they updated it, so the ratings are before the new settings. Basically it will still be up as rated because of the people applying the ratings before the new updates to MDL.
Honestly, I like Lee Jong Suk's acting, and I'm not a big fan of Park Shin Hye's acting per say. However, rather than the two of them being the contributing factor of me watching this, the team who is behind this is the reason I'm going to be watching this.
I am happy I watched this, but at the same time sad. I dropped half a 2 litre bottle of appleade due to laughing at a scene in this. Amused, but with less drink which I had specifically saved away to drink because I like it! On a less depressing note (yes, it is really depressing), it's a pretty good movie!
Gosh, that trailer must have taken forever to make with that stop motion technique! I learnt how to do it at college in my first day of my first year and man, you need painfully large amount of patience. It's really time consuming just to make a short sequence, never mind one as long as this. It's not the best trailer for explaining what the story is actually about, but artistically I appreciate the time they have taken into it.
